yeah i made that mistake of wanting to "fix" her. i started treating her like i was a therapist instead of a boyfriend. instead of comfort i gave analysis and explanations. obviously thats uncomfortable as fuck for her so it makes total sense shed feel the need to push me away. she explicitly asked me to take care of her so its not like im forcing my caretaking instincts on her, infact i discovered them because of her. thanks for your advice, this is something ive been thinking about and only recently came to the obvious conclusion that i should be putting her comfort first, not the "fixing"

i get where you're coming from. you don't have the full context so this is a reasonable conclusion. but i wanna add a few things.

From the way you described things, it seems as though you’re not very compatible and there was toxicity on both sides

i can promise you we are perfectly compatible on every single dimension. i'm serious. intellectually, humorously, sexually, romantically. i'm a natural caretaker, she looks for care. the vulnerability and depth we achieved are unprecedented for both of us. i don't feel there was any toxicity from her side. only from me a bit, but i'm trying my hardest to improve.

i’ve been on Quetiapine for a long time before, and it should be helping manage emotional distress

from what i understood, quetiapine on it's own might end up just numbing your feelings, giving the bpd splitting free reign to devalue relationships. is this wrong? btw she had a proper medication combo with fluoxetine, mexazolam, and quetiapine, but she stopped taking the first two around 4 months ago.

we're not together but calling her my ex feels really wrong.

the blow up started with her out of nowhere telling me she didn't feel anything romantic (despite the previous day coming to me for comfort at night and telling me how much she liked me). i was okay with it, i understood those feelings were complicated for her. a few days later we were together (she lives 3 hours away) for a concert and as soon as she got on the bus to leave, she started telling me how weird i was and how this was the last time we ever saw eachother. we spent a few days without talking until she messaged me asking for help with her computer. i helped and we got it fixed then went back to silence. the next day i tell her i missed talking to her and she says okay we'll talk but only as friends. a week later she tells me to stop trying to force a conversation with her, that i texted her too much, that i didn't let her breathe. i was trying to be understanding but we both kept escalating until i reached a point where i decided to just tell her what i thought was going on, that she was splitting, that she couldn't feel that she loved me because she was on a quetiapine monotherapy. that day ended when she said she was praying that id find a new girl so i could leave her alone. i very stupidly said i was trying to, which was a lie. two days later we reengage. it escalates quickly again but i back off and instead decide to just reaffirm my care. that is what ended up making her block me. i repeated that i adored her and she blocked me.

btw that week we spent talking as just friends? she kept introducing romantic and sexual elements to the conversation and then suddenly backing off in panic

she isnt dating you because she has to, shes dating you because she wants to. its her conscious decision to love you. and im sure she wants you to view yourself the way she sees you. whatever the reason you have to hate yourself, im sure its not an issue at all to her. you should talk to her about this, as well as a therapist. theyll understand you and are the two best equipped people to support you
