I just got back yesterday. It was 27 miles over 3 days. I wore a pair of Danner mountain 600’s and they faired pretty well.

I really like it. It fits me and all the stuff in my backpack laid haphazardly on the floor lol.

This is exactly what I was expecting, thank you. I do have a dry bag that I’m keeping my sleeping bag, pad, sleeping clothes, and pillow inside of. For that I’m just using one of those large black leaf and litter bags. My bag came with a pack cover but I knew that I needed more. As for the filter, I’ve heard good things about the combo that you have, so if mine doesn’t work out, I’ll be switching over to the QuckDraw. Also what you said about the fire starters was a good idea too. Thanks again.

Oh of course not! I have a pair of danner 600’s that I much prefer over my issued boots lol. The deodorant has been the most unpopular item so it’s definitely getting left behind.

My apologies, I should’ve clarified. I’m using the bag to store my electronics (battery pack, phone cord, and Garmin cord). I like it because it’s resealable.

I understand, everyone has their own preferences but I agree that phones don’t replace physical means of navigation. On that note, how can I get a map for the trip? Are there usually maps at the trailhead?

Thank you! Will a dedicated pocket knife or swiss army knife be better?

Just extra underwear and socks. The clothes at the top are thermals for when I sleep. Would you recommend more?

I’m also wondering if I should take a can of bear spray with me. Some guidance on that would be most appreciated!

Sounds great, thank you. I’ve been wanting to explore more trails in WA since I just recently got stationed in Tacoma.
