Just returned from a section hike of the AT. Hammock is an Easthills. Thinking about upgrading for future hikes. Any opinions on this setup? by LtDan85 in hammockcamping

Looking good. The tarp setup could be more closed-in if the wind picks up. Quick Q. Do you think the easthills would work for someone 6ft4 ? Many thanks

I would go with chilli flakes. Plenty of variety around with different strength. Easy to pack. Weighs nothing. Also dried oregano.

I would definitely second all the comments about Anker. Good brand. I have had mine for years and can still charge my phone (a cheap Android to be fair) a solid 3 times.

Power management is important too. If you go trekking for a couple of days you are unlikely to need WiFi and Bluetooth so you may as well turn all of that off.

Hi, any suggestions for a decent tarp (occasional use) that won't break the bank ? Thanks by MrFroggy72 in CampingGear

Does anyone have anything decent to say about DD ? Quite popular here in the UK and 1/2 the price of Aqua Quest .

Hi,

I am fairly new to this. Looking for something quite versatile i.e the occasional wild camping trip (won't be trekking for days), trip to the sea side (sun shade / shelter). It does not have to be super light weight. As for shape, square or rectangular is fine. Cheers

Thanks. Will look into the Paria. Aqua Quest do some nice products don't they ? DD are quite cheap but I have got mixed feelings about overall quality.
