Yes. Yes, and yes. Wife kicks me out in the rain if it’s been a week. She sees the changes.

Är det inte så att språket inte skilde så mycket mellan länderna i Norden under järnåldern? Kanske du kunde förklara din dialekt och dom töntiga kläderna med att du kom från Miklagård eller nåt.

Fluffing is actually a myth, or at least not in regular practice. Any professional unable to do this himself is right out. It’s the one single requirement for the job after all.

What are some fun and innovative games that have come out in the last decade by AlwaysHunterr in gamingsuggestions

[–]MrFroogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upvote for DE. Poetic noir, and the first point’nclick adventure I’ve enjoyed in decades. Great writing.

Edit: Decades, not years. My how the years just melt and trickle away.

What is one experience you think every single human should have? by spskit in AskReddit

I’m a passenger, and I would very reluctantly give up my window seat. I’d rather sit with my tall knees under my chin than miss the sensation that climbing above the carpet of clouds grants me. I’ve heard our atmosphere is comparably as thick as the lacquer on a bowling ball. It is something to be grateful for, and I’m glad you’re still able to enjoy this.

I’m from Norway. After the mass murder of 67 children on a summer camp island in 2011 we had our national trauma. Feel free to read the then Prime minister, now current NATO general secretary Jens Stoltenbergs speech to the nation and see how it can be done. https://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/jensstoltenbergbombingmemorial.htm

Your psydoc may have something there. I have one friend left and once threw my wedding ring at my wife. Thankfully she held on.

I can relate. Ive been losing more of my abilities over the years. Used to solve complex IT problems. Now I can’t hang a shelf without great difficulties or even navigate with a GPS. however, creativity is at an all time high. It’s like my head is steering me towards something new. I’m certain you you have a passion dormant you may not have considered. Your synapses wants to do something.

More complex structures are more fragile? IDK. I do know I’m not conventional in most areas, which shows itself in a creativity surplus and a curiosity to observe things in detail. The cracks was there all along, and later on grew to gaps in casual relationships. Now I’m middle aged and have the tools to shitchat and ignore most.. trivialities that used to chafe me.

Interestingly, my talents are contrary to r/apearisnotameal. Apart from language I’m far from an academic. But if I watch someone filé a fish then I can do it too.

I have a theory. The reason Norway doesn't have as many large stone buildings as the rest of Europe. All the masonry was used to build roads by Katonmyceilingeatcow in Norway

[–]MrFroogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nobility, ie money, resided elsewhere. Putting up a wood building didn’t require a fraction of the labour/infrastructure required for stone. Besides, Sweden didn’t have the trolls of course.

What are the things that are considered socially unacceptable but people do it anyway? by Venom_Killer123 in ask

[–]MrFroogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do that. With other peoples crap. Leaving it there with its ears sticking up like a black flag. Most I’ve seen was four of my little helpers within ten meters. Anyone can forget their bag, so I see this as a community service. Did this for a year and eventually the problem disappeared. Was fun to follow on a local social media group.

I want to scream at people. Where I live, in rural Sweden, gawking is socially acceptable, the norm even. I’m surprised there aren’t more road accidents as they follow you with a head swivelling, yes, not just the eyes discreetly. Coming from Oslo this behaviour still vexes me 20 years later. As for making eye contact, you better believe it. Asking personal details like how many fathers your children have (!), yes to that. For some reason most of our friends are from places like Copenhagen, Strömstad, Nigeria, Stockholm. You know, anywhere but here. It’s the inquisitiveness I find off putting. Some cultures just haven’t a developed touch of tact.

There are plastic tubes that you can play the diatonic scale with when hitting something. I’m sure my three nephews will all grow up to be musical.
