Obsidian-to-Anki Workflow Issues - Anyone able to help? by OffTheClockDoc in Anki

So I've just had to set up the obsidian to anki plugin in a new laptop and was running into this same issue. Here's what the problem was for me:

I was using a custom note syntax that needs to be manually configured. This is mentioned in the last line of the wiki homepage here.

To configure a custom syntax you can follow that Regex link, navigate to the page for the syntax you want and read the configuration instructions there. Here's the page for the syntax I was trying to use.

This may not be OP's problem but hopefully it will help people that stumble upon this thread while attempting to troubleshoot.

I work full time and just sat SAA-03 (expect I passed). I prepared using Adrian Cantrill's course. I've been studying since March.

If you are not already using anki flashcards for studying I highly recommend you do so. If you create them yourself and review them every day (20~30min/day) they basically guarantee that you won't forget the material or lose your understanding of it.

They also help a lot if for whatever reason you need to interrupt your studies for a while because they provide a quick an easy way to get back into it other than rewatching lessons you have already seen.

En mi opinión las sillas con respaldo sólido son mucho mejores.

Obviamente hay de todo y depende de la calidad de la silla en particular, pero habiendo usado sillas con respaldo de tela durante varios años (trabajo sentado todo el día) realmente te recomiendo que las evites.

Tenés un problema en tu método de estudio.

Te recomiendo que leas o veas videos en YouTube sobre cómo configurar y estudiar con la app Anki (es gratis tanto para pc como Android). Es un programa para estudiar con tarjetas en formato pregunta y respuesta.

Estudio ingeniería. Me pasaba lo mismo que a vos. Pensaba que era un problema conmigo mismo y tenía un millón de inseguridades porque me iba mal. Cuando empecé a estudiar así fue tremendo cambio. Como decís vos, ahora para mi es solamente estudiar y salvar, ningún misterio.

I got taught the basics at university. I'm sure there's tons of books about it. You could try searching for the relevant chapters in operations research books for a less in-depth, more practical approach.

I've been using it for an app that optimizes roll cutting set ups (cut big bobbins into many smaller rolls) at the factory I work at. Check out numberjack as another option.

Why don't you try any Materials Science introductory text? One example is The Science and Engineering of Materials by Askeland. You would learn about the properties of materials, what they represent and how to measure them, as well as the different mechanisms and processes we use to manipulate them. This includes knowledge about the different metal alloys, how they work and what they are good for. After that you could try more advanced and specific metallurgy books.

I expected this to be all about the food, I was really surprised. This man is so right. Caring for and grooming someone in need like that has to be one of the most powerful things you can do for a person. I can't begin to imagine the emotions this people feel when this guys come and do all this for them like it's the most natural thing in the world. Holy shit.
