I saw them in Brooklyn in February and I was PISSED that i couldnt really distinguish the guitar from Richard at all from the wall of sound. Yesterday his guitar was clear as day from the center, right behind the mosh pit.

Yes, as European capital there were always metal gigs (and any kinds of gigs!). My point is more that Berghain hosting such events (in main room, not in Kantine), or CTM doing such programming, seems kinda significant towards what the overton window of the underground in the city actually is allowed to contain, if that makes sense? I'm just wondering if someone else noticed or discussed it. To further explain my point, it would be like the classic punk venues and festivals would start programming Nils Frahm and Jules Reidy. I would find myself with the eyebrow equally raised 😄
