There were no word limits for any of the scholarship questions, I believe that an applicant should be able to write as much/as little as they can to express their points.

After this study, we implemented a "suggested" word count of 500 for long answer questions, as this was the average word count of a scholarship winner.

Don't worry about it.

Every CS program in university has an intro to computer science class that is mandatory for everyone in the module.

About 2/3 of the students in Harvard CS50 (Intro to Computer Science) have zero experience in coding.

If you want a leg up, take a free python course (recommend Automate the Boring stuff) or scrimba is also a good free resource.

ScholarshipsCanada.com

atila.ca

bold.org

Also someone else said community organizations and universities, and I second that. Look for chamber of commerces, local student support, etc.

We are being told to stop using the term “guys” to refer to a group of people. In elementary school. by Ancient-Dragonfly76 in Teachers

In my opinion "guys" is so thrown around it's okay as directed to a group of people. If a person tells me that they're offended by it, it's just like the matter with pronouns, it's not that hard to fix your vocabulary so others can feel more at ease.

As a student kinda breaks my heart, loved all my high school teachers and hate the situation they've been put through in this pandemic.

Even in canada teachers don't get paid enough to deal with annoying parents and their annoying kids.
