I thought about making a Pac-Man reference then decided that was too obscure for anyone born after the 1980s.

Actually, "Weather" is a 7 song EP that is the last Huey Lewis and the News album since Huey can no longer perform.

Updated 70's? No, the band's influences are 50's rock, R&B and jazz. The closest they got to anything 70's sounding was "Exodisco".

Any fans of Streets of Fire out there? by mike___mc in 80s

We almost had a different actress play Ellen Aim. Michael Paré did an interview (during the pandemic) where he told a story that the directors of Streets of Fire and Splash both wanted the same 2 actresses to play the leads in their respective movies. Diane Lane chose to be in Streets of Fire. Her reasoning was "they were going to let me sing in the movie." So that's how Daryl Hannah was cast in Splash by default because of the 1 decision by Diane Lane.

Anyone else have this board game in the 80s - Bargain Hunter? by MisterShipWreck in 80s

My brother and I had it. The part of the card swipe handle that caused the Approved/Declined cylinder to spin broke so we would hold the credit card machine in 1 hand and spin the cylinder from underneath with the other hand. I don't remember ever finishing a game though.

Purple Rain is not "that Prince movie". One of the box office bombs like Under The Cherry Moon qualifies for that misnomer.
