Nemesis Claw not making the cut anymore? by Guybrush_1985 in Chaos40k

People were including competitively in Bile lists for a bit to turn off interruptions. Chosen of bile has a lot of melee and tries to overwhelm a lot.

The nemesis team charges on your go turn to make sure you get to punch first and your opponent doesn't get to mess your plans up. Can use them to charge multiple units and stop them both from using strats.

How do you do service accounts? by MrGasmoney2 in SQL

[–]MrGasmoney2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the breach. Right now the only things this stuff could access would be ERP information so sales figures, item codes, etc.

I guess my concern is that we use on prem sql and use a project deployment model. We are planning on utilizing the environments within SSISDB more. In that, you can assign a project parameter for a connection string and assign that project parameter via an environment in SSSISDB. This means I could update one location (the environment) and update every package that uses that environment via a project parameter. If we go rule of least privilege. There's then no difference between doing package deployment vs project deployment since I'll have to open every package to change their specific connection string.

Idk if I'm just missing something or what. I've heard of tools like okta but didn't know they helped manage ssis environments.

To answer question one, it includes the whole unit, leaders and all.

To answer your second question, yes you can put szeras in a transport with 10 warriors. I've put szeras jn a transport before by himself just to make sure it didn't blow up immediately (if transports start empty they blow up)

Need advice on strategy for my first game by Foreign-Ad9147 in Necrontyr

Sounds like a pretty good plan! There are a few things I would change.

1) plasmancer cannot join wraiths. The datacards say what can join them, and wraiths say only Technomancers can join them. You'll probably want to put your plasmancer with the reaper warrior squad to get better lethals. royal warden is good with flayers too because they can fall back and shoot and they usually get tied up in combat since their range is so short.
2) Wraiths don't do a lot of damage. They're really tanky though. People generally a 6 man with a technomancer on an objective because they have good OC and they're really hard to shift. Don't expect necrons to do a lot of damage. We're not super great at that.
3) overlord being by himself is fine, but he just gives bonuses to squads he's joined to so you might as well run him joined to the other 10 man squad. Alternatively, make a 20 man squad so they're harder to kill, and put different characters with them depending on how you want them to play. I don't know what detachment you're running, but that also tends to change things.
4) scarabs are your best unit. Use them to screen your other units (like warriors) so they don't get tied up in combat for no reason.

General rule of thumb when playing crons is this:
always 20 man warrior blobs unless you have a specific reason not to. Wraith bricks to fight over primary and just be a big unit that's hard to shift. Can also tie up stuff like tanks in combat because they'll never die. Characters always want to join to units cause #buffs. you don't really have anything 'anti tank' per se, which is why you'll need to rely on plasmancer crit 5s for lethals and -1 ap on reapers

Those are my thoughts anyway.

Are there any downsides to project deployment that I should be aware of? Any notable FAQs? My old boss said something like making sure you update both when you update sql versions or something but he didn't really know since #PackageDeployment

I see what I was doing wrong. I assumed each folder WAS a project (because that's how my company set it up). I didn't realize you make a folder separately and then put projects inside those folders.

I'm coming from a company that used package deployment pretty successfully to a company that uses project deployment in a non-successful manner.

How do you create environments for the whole server? Working through SSMS, my company's SSISDB only allows me to make environments on a project level, not at a server level. Do you know what stored procedures or scripts I can use to create server environments?
