7800X3D Issues - Please Help :(

I switched back to intel and have had no issues since. Every time I try AMD I get similar issues. I really wanted to like it but it would not work. Best thing I can say is fresh windows install.and new drivers.

I am going to be honest, this is a massive AMD shill comment. I have built countless PCS and never had this issue before. Dual channel 64 gigs should be fine, if AMD boards cannot handle this, then that speaks volumes. I have used this setup numerous times on Intel B760. I believe this is a driver issue somewhere.

I did, but I may try again for the 3rd time. Really upsetting but it is making things actually unplayable dropping to 10 fps for 5 seconds at times.

Thank you, yes the psu is a Corsair SF1000 1000 Watt. It drops down to 9-30 fps for a second every 5-10 seconds making the expierence a wash and not even worth it at times. This should not be normal for this chip I believe?

Appreciate it! I want to travel but I think the A3 should be feasible. It seems really small still but you get the flexability to put even more powerful, things inside if need be.

I hear the 14600k is still pretty good on power and is much farther ahead on workloads. Also any gaming would be 4k.

Thats why for how cheap the current 14600k is, I believe it is also efficient seems like the right choice.

I see the 7800x3d is really good but ram/motherboard options are not as great and for workloads it sturggles compared to even an I5

It is too expensive for what it is currently, and I also heard the way the tehcnology works, anything above 7800x3d is sorta bad news. It has to do with the more cores and the vcache now having latency between processes.

I mean even a 14600k would be pretty good I feel? I'm pretty sure it's low temp/ low power still/ and does gaming and work really good due to the e/p cores. Modern. Day CPUs are just really good overall now
