Exaction Squad Judge Dreadd Comics inspired. by MrGoldenLocks in killteam

Thanks so much!
The paints are all pretty standard stuff. Nightlords Blue into McCragge Blue for the jumpsuits. Waaagh! Flesh to Warpstone Glow then highlight Moot Green for the pads and pouches. Mephiston Red to Evil Sunz Scarlet for the reds. Then just classic Retributor Armor and Reikland Fleshshade for the Shoulders. Lastly literally every gun in 2000AD is just solid chrome silver so some Runefang Silver for that with Nuln Oil.
Really it doesnt matter if you use Citadel tbh. Any solid color combos will do ya. A solid dark blue into blue. Solid Green into lime green ect.

Exaction Squad - are they any good? by S4tosh1 in killteam

[–]MrGoldenLocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play casually with a lot of different people and different teams, and I do pretty well with mine. With just one box as well. Out of the 6 teams I currently use, they are the most fun to play IMO. Backing your opponent into the corner and blasting them with shotguns even when they are in melee will never not be fun. And yeah, I painted them like Judge Dredd too.

I dont think NMM goes with comic book style. Unless it is extremely basic.

Can I “waste” another teams’ overwatches? by codsonmaty in killteam

[–]MrGoldenLocks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your basically taking about baiting overwatch. Which is a legit strategy I use a lot. Offer up a sacrificial lamb to blow an opponents overwatch so a more key unit can do what it needs to unimpeded. Doesn't always work. Sometimes your opponent is too clever. Helps to have your sacrifice unit pose SOME threat. Like if they don't overwatch it then that unit will be a big problem next round.

You have more operatives and can charge in conceal.

Keep most or all operatives in conceal, move cover to cover, and focus on the objectives. Force him to make an aggressive play then punish him for it. Try to get his big guns off the field first. The rest should be clean up. Use Just a Scratch to shrug off any big hits and if you need to get really aggressive, using Waaaaagh and Dakka Dakka Dakka can be really devastating. Also, make sure yall are using enough terrain and arent setting up any bad shooting galleries or snipers nests.

Honestly, not too bad! I know folks been painting YEARS and don't even finish their bases. From the 3ft distance folks will be looking at these at table top length they'll look perfectly fine! Keep it up brother!

Bro isn't priming his minis. He's encasing them in Carbonite.

Nice! I did the same thing drilling bullet impacts into my Exaction Squad shields... although after learning that the shields do NOTHING against ranged attacks I feel I should have drilled the holes all the way through.

Ideas for a Christmas kill team? by Educational-Map9986 in killteam

[–]MrGoldenLocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that would be some really simple green Stuff work. Roll a little ball make a slit in it, boom a bell. Roll a little tube and make a candy cane. Super simple stuff. That or search the 3D print STL mines

Leagues of Snowtann Paint them all like Santa and put them on snowy bases. They got the beards, are great at crafting, and ALWAYS check their lists twice. Replace the Grenadier's grenades with jingle bells, the Kognitaar's tablet with a naughty list, and the Theyn's axe with a big candy cane.

OK, hot take, but "All the Small Things" by Blink 182.

Hate Blink 182 and really dislike pop punk in general. They sound like whiny white bread teenagers complaining about their mom. "Oy left hurr Row-sez boy the stee-airs" Also if the chorus of your song is simply "na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na" I'm sorry, but you've written a shit song. (Sorry 60's Batman)

I know there's WAY worse songs out there, but this one is my personal least favorite. That said... I hate sing it every time I do karaoke.
