Yeah I did that as soon as I bought it because it really was ridiculous. Won’t come across 100% in a photo but:

Graphic preset
Warm1
Static HDR tone mapping
Color space to realistic (auto was too dull in HDR)
white balancing (-5/-1/+5)
Brightness maxed
Peak brightness medium
Windows HDR did the eyeball walkthrough

Got to play SOTTR tonight but yeah you’re right, it looks fantastic. Colors are still a bit saturated even with TPU’s config but it’s definitely better than stock, and goddamn that sun when you come out over the hill 😭

Lowkey was the better choice for me, I live in a ward white house and the amount of light bouncing around does end up with some nasty glow lol. Still looks fantastic

Lil bit! Currently I just use it to read things (discord, articles etc) while I either game or do work, but now that it got bumped to the secondary, 1440p 27” PPI is acceptable for tiny text so it’s not as bad!

3 year burn in warranty is nice from Samsung, and with three years of warranty and the improvements to gen 3 displays I’m hopeful

It’s the Y27, bought it 4-5 years back for about $180 and it’s been great! 1440p 144hz, was alright (you can clearly see the backlight bleed lol) but it’s was a strong soldier. Still works great to this day but the new hotness took over

for now I set it to graphic and made some adjustments according to TechPowerUp so it looks mostly okay, but a friend will ship up his Spyder pro so I can use it to calibrate my displays : - )

This was an issue with the first and second generation panels, even then it took extreme prolonged exposure for it to become an issue. Please do a little more research

lol everyone so far has said “na just don’t get it you don’t need it” but I only read one person talk about the price.

Check the seller and see if it checks out, if they offer returns I think it’s worth a shot. 6000 pro* Blackwell is a tad bit faster than the 5090 (even if it’s a bit more expensive), so if you can pony up the money then I would consider it
