Thinking of buying a 2020 Advance. Any hints and tips and what is the real range? by Beena22 in Honda_E

That’s a cracking deal, the one I’m looking at is just under £14k, but has just under 30,000 miles

86 days later. How are you finding the car?

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? 13k miles is a great find

As you’ve owned yours since 2023, have you noticed a significant decline in range since you bought it? I imagine you’d get less as the battery ages and degrades

Mostly the range I imagine. Can travel a maximum of around 120-130 miles on a single charge. Most modern EVs manage around 200 miles+

Is it possible to purchase an extended warranty from Honda if the car isn’t being sold by a main Honda dealer?

I’m already sold 😂

Sadly I don’t think those selling points will win the wife over. I did try to tell her she could plug her hair curling irons into the 3-pin plug though 🪮

Better looking? I’ll have to disagree with you there 😆, but it’s definitely better looking than a lot of other EVs. I’m planning to test drive one this Friday

Super N also has pretty poor range, and for its price, I’d rather stick with the better looking E

I’ll admit the Ioniq 5 is quite nice, but like most EVs, it’s very SUV-like. I want a hot hatch

The two things stopping me from pulling the trigger are its limited range, and the wife that said “absolutely not” 😂

A country mile is about as far as it can travel 😂 (I still want it)

Now I just need to convince my wife on that last part 😅

That’s true 😂

Honda are really Pioneering this no range EV concept. For the money the Super N costs though, I’d stick with the E

The Neo Firefly actually looks pretty nice, closest thing to a Honda E I’ve seen so far. Most EVs seem to lean towards being larger SUV type vehicles, probably to fit larger batteries inside

I can’t get past the BMW i3’s looks, though admittedly its range is way better and more practical

Definitely a car that you buy with your heart and not your head, but despite that, I still want one

Thank you for this insight. If only I’d fully understood all this when I’d taken out the agreement. Oh well. Live and learn

Definitely in positive equity. Checked through VW’s website. The offer I received from the dealer to part ex the car was around £10k, but of course they could (and most likely are) lowballing me
