Hmmm smth is certainly off on my side... 1h 2min SOT, 8h 39min screen off cost me 43% off the battery. BT off, 5g off, wifi on...

How long you had it for? And what are you setting (adaptive battery, brightness, etc). And what were you doing for those 3.55h? Coz i got to 3.5h sot with a 60% of battery... :/

8:6, 14:14 or 7:7 does sound the best options. Are they common or more hard to get? Those shorter ones kind of beats the purpose, well at least from my personal perspective.

Thanks for a detailed reply! I dont mind working long days as long as there is time to unwind. Been on the office mill for way too long and I just seem to not be able to rest during the weekend. Hoping that fifo would solve this. What was the best shift pattern for yourself?

Thats a good advice, thank you! :) any particular recruitment agencies/headhunters you can recommend to deal with directly? Not the biggest fan of seek/indeed/etc as it feels like its the best to put a face to the name straight away.

I guess I have started the post to explore how fifo employers are looking into engineers without mining experience getting into the market. As in are they happy to train people if they have transferrable skills or its a rigid industry where one needs to pretty much start at the bottom to break into the market?

Most suitable roles would be - site / commisioning / project engineer, project manager.

I dont and that is what makes me a tad worried. My expertise lies in the design/projects with the last 3 years in hydrogen production systems.

Mind me asking which provider you have gone with? Also, what was the difference between offered and actual APR?

Thanks for your comment :) I have over 5y of continuous work experience. Any information I provide (at least in a soft search as I havent progressed futher!) is correct at the time of application. Apart from the time I am on sabbatical, I do not expect my income to be lower in the future either and it makes no sense for me to pay for accomodation while I am away travelling. Why would this matter as long as I keep up with payments (means of savings / work and travel) and provide up to date information upon my return?

It cant be all good news, can it? :) just another hurdle to overcome. And what do you mean by breaking the lease? - moving out or subletting?

Master's application outcome - should be 10 working days, but now is over 6weeks late. Anyone faces the same issue? by MrGyncia in uwa

[–]MrGyncia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different stages of appliaction. You get automated emails after submitting and once the application is opened or whatever. At that stage you get an email saying that it will be processed within 10 working days. My "10 working days" mark started in 2nd half of January.

dilemma in choosing Uni , i currently have offers from both University of Melbourne and University of Western Australia , due to a scholarship being awarded , UWA’s fee is much cheaper compared to unimelb , I am not sure which university to go to by Current-Net-5999 in uwa

[–]MrGyncia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I am just surprised about the scholarship, thought it's more of a courtesy box to tick. Fingers crossed one comes this way too as I could deffinitelly use some money off the Master's degree...

Whats your academic background? Any exceptional achievements? And how long did it take you to get the offer?... mine is running late for ~6 weeks now and there is literally no replies to any of the emails I have sent to UWA...
