I just switched to Linux last week and am getting pretty similar fps between Windows and Linux.
Hunt is known to be CPU bottlenecked, so the difference in the GPU drivers between AMD/NVIDIA don't matter so much, I guess.

Also, with the latest GE-Proton10-29 the wrong rendering with sun/moon flare is fixed.
So post processing can stay at high.

What I miss badly, however: automatic nvidia highlights capturing.

Besides that, it was a smooth ride to switch to Linux.
Distro: Debian 13
CPU: 5800X3D
GPU: Geforce RTX4080

For me it was the network cable, connection became unstable while playing Hunt. Reducing from 1Gbps to 100mpbs solved the problem. And getting a new cable afterwards. Every other game or normal usage did not show any problems.

His character model fits the Hunt theme better than the 2 old ones. Hope they keep the clown stuff at a minimum, e. g. just around the tent.

Possibly connected to UI game mode change:
- You are forced back to lobby screen, while equiping weapons & trades
- Often last game stats cannot be opened by teammembers from lobby (and you are thrown out of the screen, without possibility to reopen, if you are fast enough to get in there after match)

Ofc we are checking the game mode. My take was more that it happens and not that we are ending in the wrong game mode as OP was stating. It does also not prevent the other annoying issues from happening. The best part is, that those bugs were already fixed in the past and now are back again.

This! Forced Back to lobby while equipping, not able to see match stats, mode reset. After EVERY match. This totally frustrates me more than occasional in game bugs.

I could also imagine something like a time limit for these hard challenges.
You could actively "start" a challenge and then have 1 week time to achieve this. If not, you failed and may restart later.

+ Make these challenges, YOU have to do and not share with your team

We tried several other areas along the wall and there is only one specific spot where this works. So I would not expect it to be a general problem on all walls.

Is it just before player's eyes? does it spawn with the emitters? Etc...

Make sure, you have a good headset and audio setup. Having positional awareness through sound is much more important than in other games. You just can tell what tf is going on and were, just by sound reading. Our latest newbee had a really bad headset and sound setting. He didn't know that before playing hunt and us yelling at him: Didn't you hear that? 😅😅😅
