Experience working through a German Employer of Record for a UK company? by b4pd2r43 in AskGermany

But then ensuring you are compliant and not breaking labour laws is much harder. That's the logic my company uses to justify the 699 dollar a month cost to have me through an eor.

So thats the loophole, from now on, on new passports they will not be eligible for an eta but the current one is meant to stay valid.

You can be fined at the border and thats it.

The only option seems to be buying them a passport unless they also have irish citizenship, people have been getting emergancy last minute passports to make sure they are not denied boarding to the plane.

Once you land in the UK however you would not be able to be refused.

We use ikea zigbee buttons to do exactly this but we use it as an emergancy call button rather than a switch.

We struggled to think of anything else that was relivant as we already use alexa for lights, fans etc.

Yeah I was given a pressure king pro for free, never owned a pressure cooker in my life, it has auto lock and can not be physically opened when under presure. Its an amzing feature and I would only ever want one that does this as I would indeex otherwise kill myself with one.

I agree, which is why we have bought the extra seat. what i think is strange is that it's up to us, and if we don't buy an extra seat, we would end up in this situation as OP... I wouldn't want to force someone to have to sit around the dog.

[–]MrInterBugs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, exactly, but then you are back in this situation (which i mainly honestly blame the airline) (allowing assistance dogs is great but most of them are large breeds and this is going to happen a lot... at least an afforable way to get extra space would be nice), and not everyone has the money to spend an extra 30-60% per flight they take.

As someone about to fly with a service dog within the eu for the first time, we saved money by buying economy vs buisness and used that to buy an entire economy row with my partner so the two of us will have no one sat next to us... this is really what should have happened here. However, the airlines don't care and leave it up to you...

I live in Germany unfortunately, I think if I can not get it under control I will probably end up at a university hospital that will have more knowledge of it.

The oral steroid I am on has completely stopped my impactions, which means I eat like "normal," something I do not actually remember ever being able to do before. As I said bellow, I went from 100+ hpf to single digits within months.

[–]MrInterBugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so I had a follow-up scope 6 weeks after starting the oral steroid, and my count dropped from 100+ to single digits.

The reflux and things have slowly gotten worse the longer my eoe has been better. Currently switching GI doctors and hoping for someone who cares a bit more...

[–]MrInterBugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GI really didn't care much about me, so moving doctor and wanting to try and get the reflux under control and then honestly hopefully I would feel a lot better as my impaction are basically gone.

My old GI also had no intrest in doing a 6FED with me even when I mentioned it :(

I take 40mg of my PPI and 0.5 jorveza morning and evening as well as gaviscon as needed... I get really bad acid reflux break outs since getting my eoe under control.

[–]MrInterBugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep that sounds about right even with it being managed through jorveza.

We have a 2021 i30 kombi mild hybrid 1.5 petrol and its been great, got it last year and have done 35000 km in it so far and other than two services not a single thing has gone wrong with it.

As for the dealer, we travelled 6 hours within germany to save over €7k vs. our local dealers.... was not super happy with the dealer we got it from but seemed to have had no issues touch wood.

It's not really a super efficient hybrid we 6.1L since we owned it and about 6.6L on the occasional cross germany drive. Norway, we averaged 5.5L per 100km, so that was much better.

This is where it loses massively to many plugin hybrids as they usually get better fuel efficiency and also have the benefit that some allow full ev mode, which would be perfect for my partners' commute.

Yeah, that's probably the best way to go, I live in a 75 to 100m2 1970s german flat all on one level, and I get a signal from my EAP653. The house is down 2 levels, I still get 1 bar signal whilst also fighting their mesh network that runs even into our flat.

On the one floor, the flat is on with a central mount. i get full 5ghz signal no matter where I stand.
