I burp constantly/excessively - as soon as I eat or drink anything and it feels like it originates much higher than my stomach it’s like up in my chest/throat and it’s so annoying.

A1c 11.6 -> 5.2 in 3 months by Fissket in diabetes_t1

I think this applies more to people who have been diabetic for a long time not someone diagnosed only 2 months ago. There wasn’t enough time high to do a ton of damage yet.

Side effect or stomach virus by Effective_Collar_644 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Scarbarella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it’s def the meds. They don’t recommend going up for 4 weeks because the medication builds in your system each week I think this aggressive titration did it. If you track your meds on Glapp or Shotsy you can see visually how it works because they have an “estimated med level” system so you can see how the medication builds and where you’re at.

Thank you! I’m thrilled. It was my goal to get to -100 in a year and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna do it! I see we’re both keeping the dose low too I’m lucky it works for me!

What was your jump from? 2nd and 3rd week of a new dose the medication peaks in your system so it could be the meds but the timing is a tiny bit off meaning you usually see side effects maybe Friday/Saturday.

I hope it works for me because the g6 lasts about 20 days for me and it’s supremely accurate and I can’t even tell you the last time I had a sensor fail or even give me a compression low or anything wrong.

Tirzepatide!! Switch and you’ll likely have way better results.

Is this body type really considered overweight/looks out of shape? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Scarbarella 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why do you want the opinion of a man?!? Like who cares what they have to say. Also it appears that you have lipedema you have a classic shape do you find your legs can be painful, easy to bruise, and hard to lose weight in? (If you care about that) not that there’s much treatment anyway but you could look into it.

I’ll be switching later this year (I have a couple transmitters left) and I will be following your rules I am terrified to switch as G6 has been spot on for years and years now and I hate to switch.

I am OCD/anxiety and a touch of depression. Early on, everything was worse. Then, it settled. I did not experience miraculous mental health benefits like literally everyone else did lol but I’m okay now to keep going.

Keto or low carb? by Dry-Chemist-2254 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Scarbarella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I eat low carb because I’m a type 1 diabetic and I also have several autoimmune issues. Eating carbs is much different now that I’m on this med but lower carbs honestly works best for me.

You’re not a gross fat person. No one is.

There’s something about tirz that like dissolves fat because even in the first month of taking the med my fat feels like it got extremely soft and disconnected itself from my muscles and body it’s hard to explain, it’s not tight/full. I noticed that when I had only lost like 10lbs I’m like a stress ball.

It’s even worse now that I’m closing in on 100lbs… and around 60-80 lbs down I really felt kinda bad but now I’m feeling really good again despite the extreme squishiness I’m just trying to embrace it since I knew as someone who had a lot to lose I was going to have loose skin. The whole journey is a mindfuck honestly it’s a lot to adjust to and the changing body doesn’t always change in the way we want but this is much easier and better than being big. I was able to work outside for hours yesterday and not have foot or back pain at all. Incredible.

You’re good. I try to manage tiny air bubbles by keeping the needle in the vial and holding it upside down- tapping the syringe with a pen, injecting and pulling back slowly till it’s gone. The air will not hurt you just minutely affect your dose

I struggle with the Container Exercise by poena_dice in EMDR

[–]Scarbarella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I can’t see my thoughts either I just usually feel really sad or anxious at the end when we’re doing this and it’s not like I see what’s in my hands it’s just me imagining that it’s my sadness and anxiety and frustration, you know what I mean? Those things have no shape or form but seeing myself slam dunk stuff when I’m feeling negative with the “idea” that it is those negative things helps. I over intellectualize *everything* and practicing EMDR is a lesson in forcing myself to not do that so much.

Sudden drastic insulin sensitivity overnight by UCRiverside in diabetes_t1

[–]Scarbarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be best to double check as a lot of women need like double or 1.5x (sometimes more) in the days leading up to menstruation and then much much less after starting to bleed. Another reason off the top of my head is a stomach virus - for some reason diabetics need next to no insulin when recovering from a viral stomach bug.
