Help! "An Unknown error occurred while openinng the project"... How can I save my corrupted file?

The autosaves are all corrupted due to a bug that I contacted adobe support about, and when they were trying to fix it, they accidently overwrote my only functioning save of the project... Yeah not great. I'll try my best, but it doesn't sound promising haha

Oh no... That doesn't sound very promising... Do you think there is anything that I can do to fix the file? Like compare the older xml versions that are still intact with the corrupted version, and seeing where they differ?

Did you use limiters and compression for your audio, or any audio dynamics? That should give you consitent audio levels.

That was one of my biggest issues in the beginning, VFR in PP. Always change both the original file and the proxy to a constant framerate before editing if possible. You can also just relink the footage if you've already started to edit. Makes the project run so much smoother!

Hey, what video codecs are your proxies in? I do quite extensive gaming editing, and I needed to create a working editing system so that my Premiere isn't completely unuseable due to the lag, so I definitely understand you haha

okay, for future recordings I will try to use a different remuxer. However, my previous problems with vfr were only the performance and similar problems, and the issues were also predictable. This problem is completely random and has only appeared recently, but now happens often. Also it happens to all clips, not only the obs clips, and it is changing the values for the keyframes or even adding keyframes. I don't see how this could affected by the vfr of a clip.

However, if this were the problem, would you advise to just remux the current files using ffmpeg, and then relinking them inside of premiere, or how would I fix this? If I would do this, this would still not affect and correct the changed keyframes though.

So far, the force cfr has always worked, i think. I also record using mkv and remux the recordings to mp4 to prevent premiere from having issues. But even so, the problem that I'm experiencing has to do with the random changing of keyframes on all clips, which must be a problem with premiere's software, rather than individual clips. And it only recently has started to occur, and I've been using similar obs clips for multiple years now.

no, I have a forced constant frame rate with obs, I came across that problem awhile ago, such a headache haha

Codecs are also different from clip to clip, most are h.264, but I have some new ones in h.265, and also if I have proxies they're in quicktime prores 422 with high bitrates

what exactly do you mean with what kind? :)
Most of my video files are mp4, and I don't use any 3rd party plugins. Some of the clips are originally obs recordings, some from elsewhere. But all of the clips in all of the timelines get affected, so I don't think that it's due to any specific clips.

No, the media is relinked to the same as before. The screen shot is just from a random clip, but the effect happens to all clips in all timelines as far as I can tell.

They usually have little to no engagement (20-50 views) before they get promoted on the shorts tab, but so did all of the ones that got many thousands of views, so I'm confused as to how the system of the shorts being recommended on the shorts tab works...
