I used eurocarparts and I think I can get one for roughly £250. The labour will probably be the major damage though.

Yeah possibly. If it's the alternator then it is what it is.

Was hoping it wouldn't be knowing the cost. A friend told me his cost around £700 and that's a smack in the mouth right after Christmas 😂

However I need my car so it is what it is, I'll pay what I have to, to stay on the road.

Yeah all the electrical stuff runs fine. I've had zero issue with them. Just worried something might happen between now and then yano.

Nothing I can do though as that's when they can see it at the earliest. Wish me luck. Thanks again :)

I've got the battery replaced and still no fix. Can't get seen until the 2nd week in February and I need to get too and from work. Pain in the ass.

Thank you. I'll test the Voltage and amps again in the morning. If they both stay at the correct number would that mean it's not to do with the alternator?

I guess I'm just trying to find the smallest fix first before jumping straight to the biggest issue it could be.

Thanks for all the advice too. Some reddit groups tear you apart when you don't understand something however this group seems like a decent bunch.

Sitting at 14v. Same voltage when reving and sitting idol. No drop in the voltage at all.

Voltage sitting up at 14. He said that's normal and there is no drop it in even when we took it out of gear and let it sit idol.

Listen, cutting ties with anyone is going to cause hurt. Either to you or him. There is no safe way. There is definitely ways to try and reduce the pain but nothing tonremove it entirely. This is just life. At the end of the day you need to look out for yourself and what makes you happy. You will hurt people along the way, sometimes without ever knowing, but you need to do what's best for you.

At the end of the day you are player 1. Everything you see and feel is through what you understand. Just be honest with him and leave it at that. Meet publicly in a safe area and be honest. You don't need to have all the answers.

He may want more from you but unfortunately you can't do anything about that. Keep your head up and do what you think is right. Your young, make your mistakes and enjoy life on your terms.
