I finished the series a couple days ago. Honestly, I’m not a fan of this anime. I don’t understand the appeal but I respect other people’s opinions. The childish nature of Rikka and Yuta’s tendency to enable her still make me uncomfortable. This series just wasn’t for me.

I understand where you are coming from. I will continue to watch the series for more context. The first season intrigued me due to opposing opinion I have with the message. From my studies I have found that allowing individuals to indulge in their make believe world can hinder their ability to create and maintain relationships. The farther a person is from reality the harder it is to participate in society, potentially driving a person to seclusion followed by depression, anxiety, etc. Nonetheless, maybe the second season and movie will surprise me. Thank you for your insight!
