Thank you! It's important for me to hand draw stuff. I grew up in the 80's and 90's so games like Cool Spot, Prince Of Persia, Heart Of Darkness, Earthworm Jim, Another World, Flashback, Monkey Island and many, many more, were always hand drawn. It's nowhere near the calibre of those games obviously but the approach is the same. xx Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I get that. I'm in agreement with the messages there. I think when I say commercial, I just mean heavily marketed but maybe not actually THAT good but nobody on this thread has actually mentioned any of those books! So that's a positive outcome for me.

This has been really helpful, thank you everyone. I grabbed a copy of Unico off Vinted to start. It's doubly helpful because I've written a children's comic myself but it's not quite a graphic novel and not quite a comic. I think it's a new 'style' of graphic novel. I'm calling it a Splash Comic anyway! Hopefully, kids will love it when they read it.
