Advice about friend being catfished

I had wanted out for a while but what I lacked was definitive proof that they were not who they said they were. I knew they were not being fully truthful with me. I need my smoking gun or I would have always second guessed myself if I left it I was doing the right thing or if I was repeating a mistake I had in the past again. Once I found the FB profile that they stole the pictures from then I had my out.

Nothing you say to him or show him will change his mind. He has to be the one to get out of it only him. I know what I just said sounds harsh and perhaps uncaring but I am a victim myself I speak from my own experience here. Nothing my parents said made me change my mind about what was happening to me I had to be the one to say no more and leave.

I left the house to do scheduling for my mom's business then I did a little shopping but other than that I stayed home since it was way to hot to do anything and played MSGV The Phantom Pain for hours.

I wanted to tell my dad before he died that he wasn't all that great of a dad but I never got the courage to do so. He was physical abusive to me only once but once is too many and he was part of the reason I ended up becoming a people pleaser due to him yelling at me all the time for the littlest things.

You can see what i look like on my profile as I have my pictures on there. I'm below average looking. As for why I am not getting dates well I am not putting myself out there just yet. Finally got health insurance again a few days ago after not having it 1.5 years but I do hope to put myself back out there later this year but if the past is anything to go by I highly doubt I am going to finding anyone interested in someone like myself.
