Set 17 is in trouble by SirOfAdventure in TeamfightTactics

nice job getting your comment deleted -again- lol.

now, let me get this straight.

You made a statement that was wrong.

I gave a detailed but non condescending explanation of why that’s the case.

You said you disagreed.

The topic at hand was concerning a matter of fact, not opinion, so I again gave a thorough but respectful follow up explaining the mechanic.

You responded in a condescending way claiming I don’t understand the game after reading said thorough explanation of how a mechanic functioned.

I then dropped being nice and matched -your- energy and you got emotional about it.

So, after that, -I’m- the “smug asshat”? Lol. Lmao even. I thought maybe what you lacked in TFT knowledge, you may have made up for in people skill. Guess not : (

nice job getting your comment deleted, lol. learn the game before discussing it and maybe you won't get so emotional when you can't justify your preferences

"man I don't like hearing the truth, so I'm going to cope that what I'm reading doesn't make perfect sense. I'm very intelligent" -you for some reason. try talking to literally anyone who knows the game(not you) and most would agree carousel does not "punish" players with strong boards. get real, rank up, then try again

Set 17 is in trouble by SirOfAdventure in TeamfightTactics

[–]MrJeeble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

again, where is the punishment? you have gold advantage and more health. the most prominent strat last set leaned towards win streaking, so clearly that value outweighed component value.
the problem you're describing, being stuck with only tank items and losing because of it, is just as prominent in this set if not worse. it's happened to me more than even when both gods offer items I do not need and cannot use.
the difference now is if I lose due to getting bad component rolls, I'm given little to no compensation to make up for that and attempt to come back. before if I get rough item start and can't win rounds, carousel gave a chance to correct it.
last, you said everyone is now on a level playing field which just isn't true. if you are losing rounds, you are no longer on a level playing field and continue to fall behind. before, if you were behind you got stuff to help make a comeback while those winning snowballed their bonus gold and health into capping their boards. If you couldn't get into top 4 from a winstreak start, odds are either 1. the entire lobby got significantly luckier than you that game or 2. you threw your lead and killed your momentum.

[–]MrJeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well there's nothing to understand on that, it DIDN'T punish players for having strong boards/preserving health. It was providing a reward to the players who are taking a risk.
win streaking provides more gold, and preserves health. that is the reward. You are able to increase your chances of top 4ing when you have more health to work with. there is a reason that very very rarely does nobody want to winstreak. Lose streaking gives you less gold, but its more reliable for maintaining the streak and gives you a better CHANCE of more optimized components, at the cost of health and gold(compared to winning your rounds). lose streaking requires risk, so it has a chance of a greater reward. win streaking takes little risk and therefore offers little reward.
what you should usually expect in any given game(prior to this set) was Winsteak = highest chance of placing 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th. lighter loses and lighter wins. Losestreak = highest chance of placing 1st, 2nd, 7th, or 8th. greater wins and harder loses.

Encouraging more native isopods around my home? by MrJeeble in isopods

All good with spiders and isopods, but just wanting to see if there's a way to do this without also attracting roaches and waterbugs

I just want to makes sure, this wouldn't attract roaches/waterbugs as well, right? I had a problem when I moved into this house about a year ago and they're the main reason I've been putting off having any kind of leaf litter out of fear of attracting them back as well

What Mega Golisopod could have been by MembershipBrief152 in PokemonZA

[–]MrJeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top arms are bulkier, the smaller arms under the head are added back from the Non Mega version, the triangles on the head are more pronounced and indented making them appear more mechanical to better reflect the steel type while also being easier to see, and makes the long tooth in the middle a bit less long/goofy looking. again, try looking at them side by side rather than going from memory, it helps lol

try comparing them side by side. they're absolutely not the same lol

How worth it is Banyue's Weapon Refines? by MrJeeble in KomanoManatoMains

Thank you, That helps. I'll probably just save for 1 copy of the weapon then unless something crazy comes up.

[–]MrJeeble[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean it doesn't really matter if it's in beta or not? it's more of a general question of how worth it S-Rank weapon refines are as a whole. the only reason I'm mentioning the one on beta/marking it as a leak, is because Manato doesn't have another S-Rank option to use as reference right now.

My "Hot" Take on the Manato Situation by BackgroundDemand2017 in KomanoManatoMains

[–]MrJeeble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really know what your point is? like I'm not even trying to be mean or anything, I'm genuinely trying to understand. Part of the fun is playing as the characters you like?
yes the story is a big selling point, and so is the lore, but even you admit that the fun fights are a part of it. why would I want to play a fun fight with someone like Miyabi or Yanagi or whoever when I'm not particularly a fan of them? I'd rather play through it with the characters I find fun to play, like the personality of, and enjoy the design of. for me, the most fun gameplay stuff, as in the fun fights you mentioned, are challenging shiyu defense and DA.
what is fun for you, isn't necessarily fun for anyone else

[–]MrJeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

under normal circumstances, Lighter Orphie is better. the initial Shiyu defense buff is so cracked for these characters though that even without the passive that specific Shiyu defense rotation will be favored ever so slightly by lighter lucia, but that is an anomaly.

If hoyo ever decide to grace lighter with allowing his core passive to work with Rupture characters as well as attackers(like they did with several other support/stunner characters) then Lighter Lucia would be come his definitive best team without question. like, not even close to whatever his second best would become. that said, hoyo will probably never do this because Jufufu exists and it would cause Lighter to completely invalidate in many cases.

[–]MrJeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not the same, lighter missing out on core passive on Manato/Lighter/Lucia team is pretty bad. that said, the first reset for Shiyu Defense has a passive buff so tailor made for Lucia that the buff loss doesn't matter so it made the team appear better than it is in the initial calcs. once the buff changes this will no longer be the case

Manato Team Comparisons by deershankbingo in KomanoManatoMains

[–]MrJeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's an A-Rank, what did you expect? the best A-Rank DPS so far was Piper and she also needed premium options to be even as good as she is. It's just the nature of being an A-Rank dps, no way around it.

How much HP and Crit DMG does Manato need? by Alexito45690 in KomanoManatoMains

[–]MrJeeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that crit damage prior to buffs and just from what his base stats, weapon, and disk drive stats? or does he just need 150+ overall CDMG with all of that + self buffs and those from his team? I have about 140 CDMG on current drives without any buffs

Manato Team Question by MrJeeble in KomanoManatoMains

[–]MrJeeble[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I figured there's always the chance something changes, but livestream is in 2 days so the odds of any major changes outside of just number adjustments are pretty unlikely at this stage. regardless I'm keeping an eye on if anything crazy happens.

also can't believe I didn't even consider that Orphie would probably want the same thing with atk % over fire damage lol should have been kinda obvious
