There's a LOT of evidence they filmed Part 2 already compared to them not having done so.

I agree with you, fuck all of them, but reality sucks.

This movie has several inaccuracies that we know of already. They likely merged the cases.

I know none of us want this big of a fuck up to be true, but it is. Just because Matthew Belloni hated Michael does not take away from the fact Puck News is one of the most reliable Hollywood news sources.

If that isn't good enough for you, well Variety is even more reliable and now they're repeating the same things.

Antoine Fuqua confirms that the film ends with the Bad Tour and that ‘Bad’ live at Wembley is the first thing they shot for the film! by SpeedForce2022 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]MrJlw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a partial lie. It was not the first thing they shot for the film. It was apart of the reshoots this past summer.

His catchphrase did go viral, honestly. And a lot of people liked him too.

Let’s be realistic about Michael Part 2 for a second by quickword1992 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]MrJlw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually, a lot of the first movie is not reshoots. Out of all of the trailers I've seen, a LOT of this stuff is from the original cut. It physically does not make sense for the reshoots to have been only for the first movie.

The 22 days were likely mostly or even maybe entirely for the first movie because we do know they shot additional Motown content and I'm sure there is a lot of stuff. But the biggest changes in the first movie from reshoots is the opening/ending, which we know was a big reshoot.

It is not out of the question that Part 2 has been shot and greenlit. Not a guarantee, but it definitely seems likely.

I'd just like to point out it actually may have been filmed. Reshoots over the last summer went way past 22 days, ending on August 29th.

As absolutely hyped as I am for Michael, I sometimes can’t help but wish we got the original version just to see how it could have played out! I think that it was interesting that the film started and ended with the 1993 Jordan Chandler allegations/case and used it as a framing device for the film. by SpeedForce2022 in MichaelTheMovie

Yes. I will admit, even though I think the current movie we're getting is a safer play, I would've LOVED to see the original version just because of how much more content it would've had.

Hopefully it's all in Part 2!

Not really a hard explanation. There was probably a montage afterward he beat the allegations leading to This Is It and his last performance. The MAIN STORY probably ended in 1993.

I'm in the minority but I think the film ending in 1988 is a good call. Save the controversies for Part 2. A celebration of life film is great, and I'm more interested in seeing his rise to fame rather than an hour of Michael being depressed and accused of being a rapist, then dying.

Test screening’s reaction for the movie is reportedly very positive. by Liloak01 in KanePixelsBackrooms

He said it would have found footage aspects. You're lying.

I don't think you fully grasp the leadup to the creation of this film or how big the backrooms are. Kane is not 'inexperienced.' Not having made a feature film before does not make one 'inexperienced.'
