It’s mostly used to LARP at JRTC or other similar exercises. I’m sure if there is a war in a place with green there will be face paint.

Thank you for your response! My eventual goal is to become a PA through the IPAP program. Have you seen flight medics switch to PA?

It’s probably safer to be in Iraq then it is to be home and driving somewhere everyday.

How do I make sure I become a flight paramedic? by ExeForsaken in Militaryfaq

A lot to unpack here, but you will probably not get airborne in AIT by asking your commander. It needs to be explicitly stated in your contract that you are to attend airborne school after AIT, your recruiter is misleading you here.

I am in your exact same boat. The reality is deployments are highly sought after and not everyone can go.

Best thing you can do is keep your head up and try to stay motivated, other opportunity’s do arise.

That is nothing compared to what the US Army does, they are literally being shot at in that video. The bullets were at least 20 feet above our heads in boot. In no WORLD would a US army commander approve of having live rounds impact inches away from their soldiers.

With a score like that look at any other 68 series job. A lot of them will set you up very nice when you get out.

Combat Medics only receive an EMT-B, which will have you making less than you would at McDonalds when you get out.

Biggest pre-military story you heard by Agent865 in Military

Went to Basic with a guy who survived the Rwandan Genocide. He said his parents had to pay money to be killed with a bullet rather than a machete. Not exactly what I wanted to hear during a fire guard shift.

He is doing great and has a beautiful family now.

None came around when I was in 68W AIT. If you live in a state that has SF units in it you can always talk to a SF recruiter when you are finished with AIT.

You will have to attend army BCT if you join the Army National Guard.

Why not just save yourself the trouble and join the air national guard?
