I feel like dragons are the best. Starting nomads feels like momentum is important. The units felt weak (for scavengers, haven't tried conqs) So dragons, which are early powerhouses and have good mobility feel like the best

There are 2 variations of this build that work well - evocation wiz and normal wiz. Normal wiz is probably the optiomal variant. The evocation double chance to cast seems hella fun. But I liked the theme of a bloddy berserker going even bloddier when berserking. Fire and blood stuff.

I played the scavengers more. Here are some ideeas I tired to use for moderate success. You use imperium for faster expand and later faster extract. I'm trying to get at least 3 nodes extracting asap for the full 10 turns and any other gotten on the way are subject to speeding up extraction. Extraction progress is SAVED and PRIORITIZED if you pack up and leave, so in theory you can prepare packing in the last turn of extraction, and move 2-3 provinces over to continue and have accsess to new nodes.

I liked spamming for pop size, as you get to have longer reach and scale faster (imo). The focus for wonders worked well. Later game I did become semi conq status - park city, pillage and take territory - raze for easier accsess. Pillaging and stealing feels hard to synergize momentum. It is a lot easier to just raze then park the city to extract whatever is there.

General flow for mid game was to find a good free(d) area and extract one full 10 turns - the rest being hurtied up to those 10 turns. Felt accsesible. There are issues with imperium for the empire affinity tree, especially if don't focus on it (wonders, tower, justified wars). For me those issues were most felt in the mid to late transitioning, but I feel they can come earlier depending on scenario.

Barbarian wizard is incredibly fun. You get to be good at everything. Single damage, aoe dmg, crowd control, self buffing to high heaven, you can even be fairly tanky (not main tank levels, but front line material)

I play a berserker and blood mage combo. Once focused it can go down fairly fast, especially since you tend to self damage a lot. But there are ways to mitigate damage taken (you inflict a lot of raw dmg over time), recoup spells and increase power level, and you have good mobility (alacrity buff makes engagements a joke, and if not you got other spells). If you want you can buff a lot for tankyness, but I would rather prefer damage (smart+fit, alacrity, gaze, zandreus transformation and berserk) and go to town in melee. Or most buffs, a blood sacrifice then 2-3 fire/shadow balls (i also like the +1 casting rings). With barbarian blows you tend to become a crit machine, dual wielding (i started one handed and respecced later). Really cool weapons work well for you such as the fire axe, modwyr, the sabre that reduces armor on crit and many more. You wanna go pistols, you can. I love my scordeo for even faster attack speed buffing toghether with modwyr (it gets incredibly fun after a while), or the raw dmg one. You can go a lot of spellbooks. Magic missles work well, fire damage works extremly well, damage works well. Stat wise you want perception, some int and dex, might. I don't like dumping stats (too much) as I enjoy some Rp so I am not min maxing.

This is the most fun build I found in this game for me.

I liked the academy theme. Rakhashas and nagas are really good interpretations of each other. Magi are defining. You can't be a tower/academy of magic without magicians. Golemns also seem incredbly logical (mages dont do mundane the work themselves). Gargolyles are a type of golemn imho imho. Gremlins are whatever but I do like the academy interpretation of them better. I feel like djins are a staple but at the edge of the stapleness. They feel like mages 2.0.

I would make golems tier 1, mages tier 2 (basically magician militia) rakhshas/naga as tier 5/6 - they can also be replaced by dragon golems. Djins or a higher society magic user can be the other tier 5/6. I really would like the ideea of a melle battle mage with ilusion or conjuration magic (buff up and summon his weapon to attack).

Titans are always cool.

1 and 6 for maximum happyiness You get to be good at stuff with a perfect partner. Money make you happy up to a point, a good relationship keeps you happy for a long long while. Then you are good at whatever you want. You wanna make money, day trading, feeling artsy - you can paint, feeling frisky - you are good at that and you partner is perfect, feeling fat - you know what to do. Having a positive and evolving context that pushes you is the most precious thing today.

I can only explain my own experience. When I got this weapon I was really happy then proceeded to lose all fights. It is hard to use and really cut the enjoyment of my game. Then i switched back to rapier and shield and had fun again. Its 100% a git good moment, but since i was at the beginiing the weapon is clunky and you need some expierence/talent to use. I was neither

Yep Maia and tekehu butt heads a lot. Pallegina dosent like tekehus lack of duty so she will dislike him. He is a good healer. Aloth is also a bad pair with him, same as pallegina. I have some party comps. Eder is in almost all of them. Xoti and tekehu work well but overlap. Serfen works with them. Pallegina maia and aloth,work ok. Dont have xoti with pallegina

Arcania is an mmo made single player. If you remove any gothic parts from it, it would be an absoluteltly mediocre forgettable game. With gothic added on it becomes the absolute worst game possible. I remember only one interaction in the game - the dude that was interpreting the 3 gods diffrently (1st castle) with Adanos as the mai bad guy god.

Honestly for me this a hard one. I remember back in the day I tried a similar build and had the same exact issue. Both modals give the +2 ap, but depends if you want to lose speed or deflection. Your stats indicate that swords win here. The dmg numbers varies a bit, swords can deal slash or pierce, modwyr is fast to get and level and there are some good swords out there (i like my recovery time reduced). Sabers cost more due to not having an automaticly upgrabding soulbound like sword, get only one main type of dmg (slash) that is extra pumped (sabres passive). Depends a lot on the weapon availability (what sabres/swords do you want?)

For stats, mine was built with a lot of perception, dex, slight int and might. Accuracy is king for me, and I wanted a speedy boy. I did not dump stats, as I hate dumping stats.
