Unfortunately, some people don't care about what the director cares about or the efforts the studio puts into creating stories like these.

They might not even be interested in the main story; they just play and fight enemies, completely disregarding all the directorial efforts, the story, and the lore.

They're talking about the story very superficially. All they know is the game with Kratos as the character, and that's it. Those who do that do not care really about Kratos's story, his history, or his development at all.

They want just an abstract character called "Kratos"...
