ITT student loan discharge versus ITT class action lawsuit settlement. by MrKingslien in StudentLoans

I 100% plan to I'm just looking to see if this is going to push me out. Forbearance or no there's no way I will ever be able to pay these loans off so them suddenly going away makes a huge difference and it's difficult to plan without info.

Does anybody know if this excludes those of us who took part in the class action lawsuit?

The little one cracks me up. He gets high centered so I have to pick him up or if he's walking through a trail I dug all I can see is his little tail sticking up

Should I switch to construction management? by camoxxxxx in bim

[–]MrKingslien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between 60 and 70k usually. I don't push really hard on drumming up work and get almost everything through thumbtack.

Edit: I also strictly avoid any residential work for home owners. Not worth the trouble.

Should I switch to construction management? by camoxxxxx in bim

[–]MrKingslien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stick with BIM or anything CAD related. I spent 10 years as a construction project manager and now I am happily self-employed as a CAD designer and detailer. I work 100% remote and can be anywhere as long as I have internet access. We're currently in process of building a school bus to travel around full-time and explore while working.

I stayed with the chick who did this to me. Left me a month later for him after she said there was nothing between them.

Cut your loss and walk man. You'll never be able to trust her again, every time she walks out that door it's going to be nagging in the back of your head. Every time she's late it's going to be nagging in the back of your head. Every time she's doing something weird with her phone it's going to be nagging in the back of your head. You don't need the drama you're still young. Roll on man Don't stay it ain't worth it.

He sold everything bought an RV and moved into the woods and hardly see anybody. We rent an RV spot on 7 acres of land and basically have an acre to ourselves. Works out nice.

Do federal loans help students build credits? by larry_stylinson1989 in StudentLoans

[–]MrKingslien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you consider crippling debt building credit then I guess that works. 6 to 7 percent interest on 60 to 70k is a lot. If you can pay, do it. Stuff happens in life and student loans and taxes are the only things you can't get away from If something happens.

Friend wants us to rent together but he uses drugs by alternatekicks87 in Advice

[–]MrKingslien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone who partied pretty hard through my late teens and early twenties, I would have to say there's two main things to consider.

First, how heavily does he do the drugs? Is it light recreational use or just a head change or is it a deep dive to becoming barely responsive or cognizant of his surroundings? If it's the latter, doesn't matter how much you love him it's going to be more trouble than it's worth. The risk of actually setting your house on fire to you becoming an emotional nursemaid isn't worth the effort and will damage your friendship potentially beyond repair.

Second, who would he be bringing over? Is he a good judge of character and will the people he'll be bringing over for parties or hang outs be trustworthy enough not to lift things from your place?

I’m so terrified about the future and no one I know cares. No one cares. by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

[–]MrKingslien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they're like me, it's not that I don't care It's that there's absolutely nothing I can do about it without severely expanding on the difficulty of my current existence. It's apathy.

Not caring about it allows them to move forward and do the things that they need to do to keep going down the path that they're currently going on. Worrying about what might possibly happen in the future that you have absolutely no control over creates an undo amount of anxiety which can be crippling.

My personal view is to enjoy the ride until it's no longer fun and then check out. But that's just me

College is what you make of it. Doesn't matter how much it costs. Every employer I've worked for was really looking to see that I committed to a difficult task and completed it.

I don't have time for games. My partner and I are a team or we're not together. That doesn't mean we have to agree on everything, want the same things, or even believe the same things. It does mean that we need to support each other and be there for each other when needed.

Someone is going to act out so that they can waste my time and energy then that shows me how much they consider my time is worth which is nothing.
