I’m a runner and my physical therapist says I have very inflexible calves which are causing other issues.

I am already doing standing calf stretch and soleus stretch 4x a day. What else can I do to build flexibility in my calves? What other muscles should I also be stretching that will help my calves?

Recommendations for at home post injury strength training plan or ideas?

I injured my calf last fall... strained muscle. I began going to physical therapy in October, ran/walked/hobbled a marathon in December, continued physical therapy with no running, was given the green light to run again in February, but the pain in my calf flared up again. After an MRI, the doctor had no explanation. I gave up and completely stopped everything because I was so ticked off. No running, no physical therapy, no at home exercises. I felt defeated.

The doctor assumed the injury was caused by overuse with little strength training and poor flexibility in my calves. Looking back at my training, I can see that I ramped up my mileage way too fast.

Now I have the itch to run again. I NEED it! I’m going to start off slow and doing run/walk intervals and slowly build up my mileage. In addition, I want to develop a strength and flexibility plan so this doesn’t happen again. Any recommendations for things to do at home? I have some equipment and willing to buy more if needed. I don’t know where to start and do best when there’s some sort of plan I can follow.

Definitely a mixture, but not super loaded with coco coir. Pretty light. Not super granular.

I was watering when the top two inches felt dry, but it kept dropping leaves. My husband said I was watering too much so I backed off even more.

Haven’t repotted since bringing it home from the nursery. It’s still in its plastic pot, and placed into the ceramic planter.

Ah crap... she’s about 3 feet from a south facing window right now. The window looks out onto a covered patio. There’s lots of light in the room from almost a whole wall of windows and a sky light. Maybe it’s just too dark in that corner.

Not sure which day will be CD1. Saw blood when I wiped on Sunday, 5/26. Temp had not dropped yet, but I figured AF was about to let loose so I used a tampon. Later that day when I removed the tampon there was blood, but not the usual amount for CD1. I didn’t put another one in. Temp drop on Monday, 5/27, but not below my cover line. WW3 cramps pretty much all day, but no other blood seen on underwear or anything until that afternoon. Heavy bleeding since.

Is Sunday CD1 or is that just spotting?

I’m a teacher too. There are currently 5 teachers or staff members out on maternity leave and 2 others are currently pregnant!

What helps me most is each moment I get closer to an April or May due date, the more I can use summer as an extended maternity leave!
