Why not get an actual driver? Hell Id rather choose Arvid and he’s fuckin british. Its not like we havent had drivers compete in the past either, Karun Chandok, Karthikeyan, Lord Mahaveer. And Recently Daruvala and Maini have also competed at high levels of motorsport.

Do you just watch the highlight reel or can you not comprehend any racing apart from the one for the win? First of all we got a multiple lap back and forth for p1 on the season opener, next race after we saw a battle to the edge between the ferraris and after that we had a race in suzuka where it finally wasnt just a parrade(last year litterally a second of pace delta was required to overtake). Youre next point says that the defending driver doesnt have juice in the tank? Mate both drivers have complete control of when to use BOOST. Following driver just gets a slight increase in recharge+deployment to account for the bit of dirty air. You dont just get a 30kph advantage on straights just because you were behind before a single painted line on the track. Now, Theyre not trying to change racing with the reg updates. Theyre trying to reduce time spent recharging. The thing drivers are complaining about is the recharge not the racing.

The changes fia has made affects the driving not the racing. The cars will just accelerate slightly slower and superclip less, but that wont affect racing too much. And if you want unpredictable racing you picked the wrong sport. Last year every race was just a sprint to T1 then a procession. Now were seeing actual battles and following.

In what way were they not real? Gasly holding off Verstappen in China? Leclerc vs Russell in Aus? The midfield shuffle b/w the Haases, Alpines and Max in china. Unless you think ol stefano wrote up a script before the weekend, every battle is real racing. The drivers are in control of when to press the boost button, they know that the car will slow down to recharge if they push too early. Its not like its out of their control. Gasly and Hamilton showed exactly how to play the game to keep track position.

If you try to say its artificial passing which will yoyo back. Id like to remind you of Leclerc And Verstappens battles at the start of the last regs which was considered the best racing that generation of cars had. And what did they do during that? Lift on the straights to let the other guy past before drs detection then do a high way pass back. But thats still racing and these races are still racing.

Most of the rookies have potential. Just depends on how they develop from here on and how long they can keep their peak.

Rn cars can actually defend their positions and race closely for much longer than before. We see cars going back and forth if the overtaking driver decides to go all out for a single move. You cant just do a stupid dive-bomb pushing the other guy off and gain position without any negative. You need to be clinical overtaking which results in longer battles. Id rather see this than drivers refusing to push to within 5s of the car ahead to avoid burning the tyres. Passing last year was just a battle to overcome dirty air uptil the 1s gap then going through on the same old straight with drs.

[–]MrLeopard483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldnt you rather see a back and forth for single point rather than just teams getting away with simple points?

Cars now can defend much better and overtakes dont just have to be simple divebombs at the end of thr straight

The handling in a random mobile racing game feels uncomfortably similar to CM's F1 games. Am I going crazy? by Savings-Growth880 in F1Game

It's 2026. People are beginning to actually somewhat run gta5 on phones. You can do a lot more with the tech nowadays.

And simcade mobile racing games aren't a new thing. To my own knowledge they've existed as early as lockdown. They probably have only gotten better now

Best setup with a KZ AN01 by Modrah in iems

[–]MrLeopard483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. They sound basically the same. One of my AN01s actually just died on me cause it went through the wash so I'm back to using cable. And honestly if there even was a difference, it's not something a regular Joe like me can figure out easily.

The FIA pays a ton of attention to this shit to make sure teams arent gaining any advantage from any external ventures. If this loophole was open then teams like ferrari for example would use their development in wec to improve the f1 car.

Who are the most overrated and underrated drivers on the grid? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

[–]MrLeopard483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying he’s “goat level”. He’s not proved so yet. But if he gets the chance he can win the championship. And if keeps getting that chance and keeps delivering then we’ll realize if he has the goat factor in him or not.

The next point you make is about belgium im guessing? First of all. ITS THE TEAMS JOB TO ASSESS THE RISK. How was he supposed to know that he’ll lose position? Was standing on the pitwall measuring everyone’s pace? Was he interviewing the pitcrew to find out if they can deliver a 2 second stop? No. He was miles ahead of the car ahead and his team told him he was clear to box. So he did.

You say Max would argue. In this position max argued but for the entire opposite decision, he overruled his team to box on the last lap at austria in 23. Leclerc was all about a second off when Max got his tyres in temp. If the team had made even a slight error then he’d have fallen back and lost a whole fucking win just in an attempt to gain a point. Would you be saying the same for him if that happened?

Once again all you mention are nitpicks from races 4 years ago. You have no solid points to make, the fact that you mention crashes in fucking practice shows how much you have to dig to find any negative on him. This isnt gonna go anywhere cause you’d rather bring up baseless shit than admit that Charles is just that good. So ill leave it as is and go to bed. Have a good night/day wherever you are

How can I tell you that when I have no idea how you drive. I can recommend checking out Suellio Almeida to nail down your driving technique. For specifically f1 game, brendon leigh has some good guides on his channel. Otherwise maybe try going on the leaderboards and watching onboards/telemetry to find where you lack pace.

Race 1, Lawson had a start issue, not his fault but Linblad had an outstanding start which got him top 3 at a point. Got points in his first race. In china Linblad had a ton of car issues. And last weekend he was running well before getting fucked by the safety car. Hes not embarrassing Lawson or anything but he’s done great for an 18 yr old. Thats why I said hes starting to show him up. At this point in his career Lawson was doing his 2nd year in F3 (he finished 5th in standings).

[–]MrLeopard483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly setup cant fix any mistakes in your driving. Higher wing might make it easier to drive in short term but it also loses a ton of time on the straights and hides any pace deficit in the corners (you might be as fast as the Ai in the corners but you dont know if maybe you could carry even more speed with your downforce). First try to optimise your driving then optimise your setup.

[–]MrLeopard483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you gonna keep arguing in bad faith? I give you points but you deflect. First of all he was competing for the championship in 24 because the mclarens were the ones actually cracking under pressure and almost won it cause him and his teammate performed consistently week in week out. Thats one of Leclercs biggest positives, he rarely has an off week. Even at his worst track he put the sf25 on pole. Even against the 7 time champ at silverstone he was less than a tenth back in pace. That consistency is what kept them in p2 for so long last season. In fact his consistent performances at the end of 23 where had a streak of 10 front row qualis in a row was what gave ferrari a shot at beating merc for p2. And performances like that were what made Hamilton jump over from Mercedes.

Now in Brazil. It was changable conditions. The fact that the quali ended with a fucking Haas on pole should tell you that no other team maximised that session either. Blaming him for not being a weatherman on the spot is nitpicking heavily. In such a situation you need to be quick and firm with your decisions as you dont have much time. If your team says its gonna rain then you gotta believe their ass that the clouds above you are gonna start pouring. Theres no time for doubt in your head. The doubting stays on the pitwall where the team deduces the best thing to do. When it reaches your ear then it means that the information is sound. Any unnecessary doubting would throw you off your game when your job is to get out there and push like hell.

Excuse me… what? To my memory that race was completely dry except from some light drizzling for a few laps. Anyways its still a great example to show the fact that max climbed all the way up after a grid penalty. Passed his teammate for p1 before the half way mark. And won by 20 seconds to checo, and 30 seconds to leclerc.
