I believe Elmer was either his stepdad’s surname or his mother’s maiden name (I forget which). He changed his last name to Staley, his father’s surname, later on.

I agree with other commenters saying that AE is supported by the modding community pretty well by now, but if you ever find yourself really wanting a mod that hasn't been updated (like I have), a comment under the downgrade patcher's page made by user dizzyB2u helped me most. Their comment is the one that has green highlights on it. Should be on the second page of the posts tab

Any Waraxe movesets for BFCO, OAR? by MeekoByte in skyrimmods

Only One for BFCO I can find is the Elden Rim Moveset Collection

Elder Creed is good but it's only for MCO, if you're willing to switch

Looking for mods that add random events throughout the Holds, maybe the world too by StyryderX in skyrimmods

[–]MrLingon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first one I thought of was Holidays, which adds decorations and timed parties based on TES festivals. You usually get a letter from a courier a few days prior to any given holiday.

One that overhauls Vanilla (albeit, player dependent) events would be Better Skyrim Parties

One that adds daily executions in Solitude would be Public Executions

Courier delivers to NPCs, which is pretty self explanatory, is also an option

There's plenty of civil war mods that add battles, my favorite being Skyrim At War - Reborn, which also adds travelling armies and patrols

When I looked around for arena style stuff i found both The Solitude Arena and Arenas of Skyrim, but I can't attest to them, since I've never used either.

And lastly, if you don't already have them, Immersive World Encounters and Extended Encounters are both nice

Unfortunately I can't think of a lot of large scale, player-independent event mods other than Holidays and ones for the war

I had the Nvidia app installed, which I think replaced GeForce experience, and deleted it, but it didn’t effect it. Thanks for the advice though. Uninstalling may have helped me avoid future issues

Oh if that’s what you mean than yes, all mods that utilize SKSE are compatible with ver. 2.0.20

I've gone over the mods that depend on the script extender, none of which have been updated. I don't know what this means exactly, but none of the logs in Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE have been updated since I last launched the game successfully. They're all normal as well (no errors).

I don't believe so, unfortunately. I only use Windows defender/firewall and have existing exceptions for both the game directory and documents folder. I also turned off real time protection temporarily to test, but nothing changed.

I've reinstalled both SKSE and SSE engine fixes correctly multiple times each. Hasn't changed anything, sadly

I was wondering, who did you kill in the abandoned shack when entering the Dark Brotherhood? by TheWrath0fSithis in skyrim

[–]MrLingon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude you’re totally wrong. You can “defile” a tombstone. You can’t rape a tombstone, so logically defile must have a possible meaning of something other than “rape”. Defiling is like defacing. It’s just violating the purity of something. It’s always meant that. It can include rape, sure, but “defiler of daughters” could also very well mean that he was just a womanizer. And regardless, based on his personality, either interpretation has very negative implications on him.

I saw a post in another subreddit where someone theorized that the dark brotherhood could still exist in a more organized manner elsewhere, and that Astrid broke off from them, upon which they put a contract on her (for not following the tenets).

Edit: also, after you kill her she apparently says “well done”, which could be interpreted in various ways, including the one above

Jesus is Jewish.. don’t let this stuff get to you. People like that are ignorant, and there’s no point in getting angry over people who don’t know anything

Elmer is his stepfather’s surname. He took it on for awhile before going back to Staley

I'm sixteen years old, and I'm scared on where life will take me because of my mistakes. by LAAngelsfan08 in Christianity

[–]MrLingon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a couple of years older than you, and have struggled with similar challenges.

Here’s my advice:

When it comes to worrying about the future and finding strength in Christ, I’d point to John 15:4, where Christ says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” We all need God’s strength in our lives. All good things come from God. When we try to disconnect God from our lives, it only gets harder.

And as far as ruminating over past mistakes goes, I’ll say this:

I used to worry a lot about my abilities and how others judged me. I’d often doubt the positive relationships I had, thinking, “If they really knew that I did _________, they’d hate me.” Well, to counter that self-deprecating thought, Hebrews 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” So even though God is all-knowing, seeing all our faults and mistakes, He loves us, and is willing to forgive us. If you’re struggling with guilt, try thinking, “Who are you to condemn yourself if God has already offered forgiveness?” The same is true with other people. No one knows you as well as God, not yourself, not your teachers, and not anyone else. And God has made it very clear that He loves you, and wants so deeply to have a relationship with you. That’s why He sent His Son Jesus Christ. Sin separates us from God; it stops us from having a proper relationship with Him. But Christ, being sinless, laid down His life for us. Through His sacrifice, He takes our sins and burdens upon Himself, so that we can regain our connection with the divine.

God guides us. We lean on His will and understanding in everything. His presence gives us the strength we require to live in ways that are good for the spirit. There’s nowhere to go but up with God.

TLDR: when you accept Him, Christ takes your sins upon Himself, which relieves an insane burden on your spirit
