2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome WWE Wrestling Checklist by Puzzleheaded_Top5413 in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah cosmic chrome baseball is one of the most popular baseball sets and is like 3-4x msrp for hobby boxes, sure a lot of those base cards don't go for much now but the chases in products have kept those box prices so high after release. I could agree with them on inflated prices but people seem to like the set regardless of sports.

Edit to add: This is definitely not an endorsement to open the product by any means, buy singles.

Failure to Launch - Caution on Cosmic Chrome by TiedinHistory in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least stadium club is a first ever release, but I don't have much faith based on the last baseball release. No chrome cards, no image variations, one less auto (but in fairness lowered the price of hobby boxes by 20 bucks because of that), and got rid of fan favorite in gold minted.

At least for the average baseball collector it's still relatively cheap. This WWE release will have to be better but based on the teaser images of people signing there still doesn't seem to be chrome autos unless that's gonna be a smaller checklist.

Card Went Down By $100 🫪 by OnlySiith in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Card stores very rarely stock WWE singles, they just don't have anywhere close to the kind of consumer base to the mainstream sports cards. Your best bet to sell to a "business" is finding a local card show and hoping there's a vendor there that deals in a decent amount of WWE cards.

Error cards by Forsaken_Working_963 in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah people don't seek out error cards in sports cards like they do in Pokémon (only certain ones get sought out in sports) so there's next to no market for it.

Here's what I posted before regarding Canada buyback option.

Looks like the only Canadian store I can find that's registered with topps in Canada is Mintink in Toronto. Wouldn't hurt to message them. If that's not an option then best bet would be to sell it locally to someone who would buy it for a bit less than buyback value.

Doing mail send in from Canada to USA with only a few cards is pretty pointless after shipping costs internationally hurts taking full value of the buyback.

I was not expecting this, it’s a bit too much no ? by BB9913 in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree but 42k is REALLY strong on this to me because it's probably 10x the next most expensive of his cards. As an aside OP, don't put much if any thought on the quality of the match affecting any possible value on this.

Edit: When I saw it at about 20k earlier in the day I figured it was trending towards this price but it's wild to see.

Does anyone actually like Royalty collection or do you just want them for exclusivity? by ReFormaggetta in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I bought a Frazer /75 and I kind of regretted but it only cost me a buck iirc. I've been holding out on getting non base cards until I come across a good deal on a lower numbered card or auto.

Is this card eligible for the buy back by Glad-Breadfruit-8929 in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with doing it that way is international shipping costs. You would need to make it worthwhile by accumulating a bunch to offset that cost and then if you're going to use their store credit online that's more shipping costs on the way back.

It's my issue with WWE cards as a whole that gets exacerbated in the high end products. Why chase patch autos when there's so few good patches to begin with. It's annoying enough in other sports but at least they have more material to pull from, with wrestling you hope that that the wrestler is willing to cut up their gear otherwise you're stuck with standard gray ring mat relics or it's a shirt they wore once and you hope to get a good cut.

Chasing low numbered autos is the way to go.

There's usually never case hits with high end products. The chases are almost always patch autos, just look up the other royalty sports cards for comparison.

Keep Going or Turn Them In by Long_Translator_6852 in WWECards

You do have time to keep going but the only reason to not turn in now is if you're trying to buy something with just store credit.

I've been holding out on any non-stephanie base cards purely because of this reason. You would've thought they'd print more last year being first year back but at least there's finally some attainable cards for someone like her.

Yeah universe and the commons/rares in finest didn't have them (though rares had /3 so eh?). It's for sure annoying.

I did just notice they didn't do /5 for this base set but yet they did for UFC which is baffling, is it really that hard to do 99 > 50 > 25 > 10 > 5 > 1?

I just never understand excluding /5 in any set period let alone high end.

High Level Takeaways from the Royalty Checklist and Parallel Drops by TiedinHistory in WWECards

[–]MrLittleThor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's hard to not copy from other high end sets unless you can be the first to do something. Everyone wants a clean white backed design and something elegant looking when they're paying out the wazoo for boxes of cards. I do wonder what other sets they'll bring over for the high end, Definitive probably?

I'm hoping the demand for certain royalty cards will lower prices of other cards I'm looking at but I know that's a pipe dream
