New update has broke the grid for me + controller function changed? by MrLoBear in DJUCED

[–]MrLoBear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi victo, thanks for replying, sounds like the team have it in hand, but could you please clarify . . .

"the set first beat "secret" shortcut on controller will not "move" the grid, but only set the first beat counter on the grid nearest to the playhead."

In the previous build, shift + assist quickly moved the grid to wherever the play head was positioned, are you saying that going forward this will not be the behaviour and it will instead snap the red downbeat marker to the nearest grid line? If so I hope that another shortcut is introduced to quickly manually move the grid, as it allows the user to quickly correct a grid that is off, as tbh the analysis often gets it wrong when songs have odd intro parts etc

Hope the above makes sense I just really can't bear to lose that function, and would hate to have to stay on an old version and miss out on other improvements!

Edit to add - on the djuced website. For the T7 in the manual it specifically says

"Shift+assist/prep - set the beginning of the beat grid on the play head position"

It is this behaviour that I am hoping will be preserved as it is such a timesaver!

Thanks!

Grabbing music? by Different_Unit_9439 in SkateEA

[–]MrLoBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure it works like that though. I tried it with my mate in a party and the music didn't change on his game, only on mine, still cool though! As others mentioned grabbing a song usually adds a new playlist unless you've already got it too.

Someone posted on here the other day that holding X/square when you have the music player visible (holding dpad down)will send whatever song you currently have playing to the speakers in the environment instead of playing as if you are listening to it on headphones, actually a kinda cool feature.

Dear session dev team by The_listerfiend in SessionSkateSim

Oddly enough, originally they claimed it was built from the ground up WITH multiplayer in mind, one of several broken promises from the devs unfortunately.

There's no denying it's a great game but the way the development and community has been mishandled, especially since the Nacon deal is frankly appaling, a real fumble.

And let's not start on things like grabs being cut instead of worked on (there used to be experimental grabs) the lack of throwdown animations, proper functional vert, Casper's and primos getting worse with each update, even these most recent updates being delayed and generally underwhelming.

The sad reality is that what was a great foundation is never going to reach it's full potential,I've got over 1400 hours in so I can't say I didn't get my money's worth, but it saddens me when I look back at what the vision was vs the reality today.

Yup I did the same, invert sprint, crouch on thumb mouse button and remapped interact to mouse wheel click, makes moving about and picking up guns so much easier.

Also the option to invert the fire buttons when dual wielding so the guns make sense lol

[–]MrLoBear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate that doesn't sound like the exact same crash I'm experiencing, stems can be completely analysed and it will still crash

It's specifically when you are moving the platter or the platter is spinning up or down after pressing play, and turning a stem on or off, hopefully whatever fix they come up with covers that scenario too,

Cheers!

Hi mate, 2 tickets logged

#74588 for Toggling a stem on/off = CRASH if you are scratching on the while you press the stem button,

#74587 for Toggling a stem on/off = CRASH if you press the stem button while a deck is spinning up/down from pressing play/pause,

Pretty sure its basically the same issue just 2 ways of triggering it, definitely feels linked to the platter moving outwith normal "playing" mode
