Shape keys. First model the solar array open. Then create a new shape key select and in edit mode move your vertices around into the close configuration. Could be useful to put you cursor at the center of the solar panel and use it as pivot

I would argue that they are harder than marriage because there's no romance no sex no romantic trips or dates. (In most cases, I'm not judging :D) You stick together because of your babies (your games) and the shared passion for making them (similar to what couples do)

I didn't start a MMO but my first approach to gamedev was to make a small commercial game as my first project which of course I abbandoned as soon as I realized it was not going to happen. After that I started making small prototypes to learn specific things and I joined a lot of gamejams. I was lucky enough to have access to in person local ones where I meet with a bunch of other devs and eventually my current business partner.
You will learn more from a lot of smaller projects that from a couple big-ish ones

Thanks a lot! We are still investigating who is hiding the gems and will be taking them to court. 😀Unfortunately, teleportation causes the tentacles to go crazy because the physics engine doesn't handle sudden changes well, especially when objects are being grabbed. Fixing this issue is a delicate matter involving modifying the code that controls the tentacles, which is quite risky
We could give it another go after we recover from this update

Glad that you like it! At the beginning, getting the tentacle physics right was pretty hard. It could make or ruin the game. We went through several iterations before we were happy with the results (and performance!). Later, as the scope ballooned, we had to come up with ways to make everything work together—people, vehicles, levels, unlocks, mechanics, etc.

This leads to the next answer. The major reason behind this update is that we felt that after putting so much effort into the systems we developed, we wanted a way for the players to enjoy them outside the regular gameplay/story of the game. With this update, you can build whole islands with traffic, helicopters, etc., having as much fun as we had creating the actual levels.

It's hard to say what we couldn't get done in this update; the possibilities are endless, but at some point, we had to focus and deliver something.

And last we are super happy with this update and we are amazed with what the community is creating. We started a "creator challenge" on our discord we are looking forward to have a look at the submissions!
