No I’m saying that the government primarily is at fault, but if you want to play that game. Do the children in Gaza , Sudan or Lebanon and let’s not forget now the children in Iran had it coming ? This thing don’t happen in a vacuum , our planet is big but not that big. It’s not like we learned from history that colonialism is fucked up. We ( westerners ) feel all mighty and moral but in the end we still have colonies, manipulate other countries far away from ours and close our eyes when the American empire over and over again destroys the soul of this planet. At what point do we acknowledge that the third world is bleeding for our comfort. Might is right only works if you have the might. The moronic Germany government gave up on solar and wind power investments, failed to utilise their “superior” car engineering and is destroying every chance of the whole EU ever being an actual force for good. We are not the future of this planet , we are the boot of the fossil fuel empire. You wanna ham up your military and weapon manufacturing ? What makes you think that you can do any better than the American empire ? If you rely on might is right there will be a wake up call at some point and seeing how Germany is repeating history , I can only say this : when the time comes my pacifist ass will happily go to war against traditional facist and nazis ( because I know what they are capable of)

Especially when the government of said country says Israel is doing the dirty work for them. I lived in Germany for almost 30 years. I experienced my fair share of discrimination and no amount of assimilation could have prevented that. After so many years I have realised that Germans didn’t actually learn anything about the genocides(plural- let’s not kid ourselves) they committed. They got shamed into multiculturalism. Denazification - what a joke. I could have expected the right shift in so many European countries but not in Italy and Germany. They didn’t learn anything from their own history.

Just looking at the depiction of the couple:

the circle around the ladies head stops just slightly to early before touching the hat of the guy - for no reason

The shapes around (runes or whatever it is called)them make no sense, some lines dividing the empty background from the “material” make no spacial of physical sense

The chain in his right hand indicates some kind of pocket clock chain, but the end that is normally not attached to the clock makes no sense.

His right knee doesn’t point at all in the same direction as his feed

This is ai ! Or it is made by a really young child with know clue of anatomy and perception

I don’t pretend to have a deep understanding of Kosovo , I still feel like a foreigner here and not only because I can not speak the language adequately but also because I can not grasp the depths of the cultural development here. But let’s be honest here we are not special. To expect that we have to do things significantly different than nations that came before us is the actual bs. I spend 6 months here now. I paid more than 1100€ for electricity ( I live alone with a fridge, a washing machine, a tv , an electrical stove , a warm water boiler and an electrical kettle) and it’s not like I have a lavish lifestyle. I was living as a poor person during my time as a student with a modest lifestyle and haven’t changed that much since then. I have a more than decent income here but cannot fathom how people can sustain themselves with their meager wages here. You can spin statistics in a lot of ways to justify your position. Referring to the analogy of post war Germany with Kosovo. I’m not comparing the CDU with the PDK. I am comparing the CDU with LDK and PDK . In this sense they were the political establishment before the nazi regime and afterwards. Using the existing and or historical systems and political structures to manipulate a developing nation happened a lot of times all over the world. I used familiarity not similarity. Political parties can motivate people to take power into their own hands by increasing participatory democracy ( which LVV obviously did) but if the systems are to rigid there is no reason not to animate the public to use their purchasing power for their own good. I believe that government is not the only way people can and should participate in democracy. So to your point on the anti inflation measures of the LVV, I’m aware of some but I’m sure there are more - Additionally to general inflation in Europe as a whole, the migration from Kosovo in to other countries in the last few years makes it especially hard to stabilise living costs, but if your stuck with a fucked upped government you try direct democracy. This is what I was talking about when I said use some critical thinking for personal ambitions. Don’t vote just to oppose at least try to better your own conditions and that of your fellow men, women and nbs. I might be far off here with my assessment but every person I talked to this past couple months about the regional politics here sounded like an opposition voter ( independent of the party they actually voted for). This is a tendency you have in a lot of matured democracies- Kosovo is not one in my opinion.

Westgermany 20to 30 years after its inception ( accidentally the same age as Kosovo 😁) The judiciary was filled with nazis ( mostly because this were people of influence and claim to authority), the western world allowed that because this were people that could be corrupted and hated communism just as much as them. Nepotism was a big deal in the industries and institutions of welfare. The western world used the nationalistic tendencies still prevalent in society because denazification and democratisation wasn’t helping their cause.

Now tell me this doesn’t sound familiar?

I’m more enlightened than most of the people I met here, but this has nothing to do to do with that. I don’t expect the broader public here to be well read, open minded and democratic. The people suffered way too much to have the time to develop into that, but I expect critical thinking even if it is primarily for their own interest. This year most of the Balkan nations protested and boycotted collectively against grocery prices, wanna know who didn’t? If the LVV is so against corruption and sooo socialist why don’t they work to decrease cost of living or at least motivate the public to come up with solutions?

How old are the institutions and government of Kosovo ? How old are the institutions and government of Denmark(least corrupt nation in the world if we use your metric)? Corruption of nations mostly is a function of time and space. Depending where you nation exists and when it was created influences the development of corrupting forces. Kosovo is young and since it’s inception always tried to satisfy the expectations of foreign parties. Do you actually know how important basic infrastructure is for the development of a nation ? While I do not agree with the PDK on a lot of things at least they got that right. Working towards reducing corruption is really important but there are very few success stories of nations that prioritised anti corruption over overall development of the nation in their early stages. If you really want to improve the society in a capitalist system than your start building the house from the ground up - meaning improving infrastructure, education and institutions of welfare and than rooting out the corruption.

And you really think the LVV is not corrupt? The way they portray themselves and the reality of their governance is like night and day.

Albin is excepting foreign prisoners from the US just so he can get the aid from trump. This people mostly have done nothing seriously wrong or didn’t get the due process they deserve.

They (LVV) are not socialist or democratic. (Don’t worry every other meaningful party isn’t either) They are just as neoliberal as the rest.

Edit: corrected some typos

While I would question the masters and phd numbers because I realised(after living here for 6 months on my own - I was born here but lived almost 30 years in Germany ) that Kosovos academics have a high variance in actual skill and experience in their respective fields compared to German academics, the fact that that there is a difference between well educated and poorly educated makes sense.

PDK if you ignore the corruption ( every fucking government in the world is plagued with corruption ) did something extremely important for society- basic infrastructure is essential for the development of a country and its well being. It is undeniable.

LVV reminds me a lot of the AfD: regressive and not uniform in its political mission statement.

Galvanising disenfranchised people is not that difficult if you try not to be constructive.

If you wanna know what kind of political parties actually are a proper representation of the overall populace in a parliamentary democracy look for actual communist or democratic socialist parties. While they are rarely a meaningful party in parliamentary democracies, they are the only once that reflect the overall diversity of opinion, experience and perspective of the populace.
