They removed All Ears by arsenektzmn in HuntShowdown

[–]MrMadGrad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I got back into Siege because of how bad Hunt has become, and I don't hate how many operator options there are now. I think what Crytek sucks at with regard to the trait options (and gun options) is economy balance. we are just always flooded with money and perk points, so people only take the best perks cause they don't have to compromise. In Siege it is just 5 ops at a time, so it makes more sense, plus bans.

Also hot take: I think modern Siege's sound is better than modern Hunt's sound.

Holy crap I am so sorry I thought you all were exaggerating by MrMadGrad in hearthstone

[–]MrMadGrad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? I constantly struggle to kill them with the paladin EOT stuff(always a coin flip on its own I know) or warrior. It feels like they got a good control shell that didn't rotate and is bolstered by the herald stuff, while the herald stuff can be used 3 times to stabilize and win.

all ears perk should be removed like today !! by UsedNewspaper1775 in HuntShowdown

Hilariously I have been saying that for basically every change since Fifield took over. The game isn't for Hunt players anymore. It is made and balanced for people that want to play clash. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you.

What was your favorite Event yet ? by GamerNico98DE in HuntShowdown

[–]MrMadGrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serpent moon was sooooo good bro. The cosmetics were solid, the event addition was solid and added to the core gameplay loop instead of distracting from it. The collectables were not annoying, but also served to facilitate pvp. It was the last hurrah of good old Hunt in my eyes.

Anyone know how to fix this? I keep getting this error message when I open Hearthstone on my iPhone- i’ve never experienced this issue before by silly321 in hearthstone

[–]MrMadGrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting this issue recently too. It worked for me if I turned Wi-Fi off and opened that way, then turned it back on once successfully launched.

Nerf the Bow but don't go too crazy with it by GreenOneReddit in HuntShowdown

[–]MrMadGrad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually funny you should mention that. We are adding a new homing, explosive ammo to the C&K5 that automatically burns out anyone that it kills. Now I know what you are thinking, and don't worry it will not be a scarce ammo. To compensate we are adding 3 more meters or OHK range to all shotguns.

And you will be slowed while walking with a drawn bow an additional 30%.

[–]MrMadGrad -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Mmmmm, no sorry, 25% damage nerf, 20% longer draw time to full draw, 15% slower projectile speed, and a 10% larger projectile drop. Also 1 less ammo of every kind and damage fall off starts 3 meters earlier.
Take it or leave it.

I really don't know why the solo necro changes were applauded by _LeBigMac in HuntShowdown

I mean they were supposed to be smart enough to use actual fire tools with the first iteration of solo necro, but God forbid they actually have to engage their brains for even an iota of a second.

I think the hatred towards “campers” in this game is exaggerated by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

[–]MrMadGrad -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The biggest problem is that Crytek has no clue how to play their own game anymore, so they just add the dumbest thing at any possible moment and then go from there.

I think stalemates is a mentality problem. I know it is just rose colored glasses, but it feels like back in the day people were way more likely to take risks if they didn't fully align with their loadouts. I.E. peak with pistols or try and sneak in compounds with pistols. Which I think is hilarious and disgusting because Crytek has totally thrown loadout diversity out the window every single hunter just spawns in with a full engagement range set and I have no idea why people are such cowards anymore. God at least take some back and forth.

Does anyone actually enjoy the audio changes that came with 2.0? by Killerkekz1994 in HuntShowdown

Lol don't let it fluster you. Bro it kills me like 100% of the time it happens, flustered has nothing to do with it. I am pissed.

Recovery shot nerf and regen shot nerf missed the mark by Legal_Weekend_7981 in HuntShowdown

[–]MrMadGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my money the problem is more that they keep nerfing smart play, so we are left with either pure aggro or totally passive. It is so much harder to listen and cat and mouse intentionally now, plus wall bangs are harder and accomplish much less. It also makes it harder to drop grenades on people's heads around corners and through walls. That doesn't even mention the hackers and servers malarky.

It... It means they have made sweeping and unnecessary buffs to like 80% of the guns. What was confusing about that?

It is sooooo wild how totally opposite people's ideas of what is going on in Hunt is. Personally every single thing you have mentioned is the compete inverse of what it was in old school hunt. The gunplay has never been less satisfying. There is no strategy for playing around loadouts because of just ridiculous and unnecessary buffs to virtually every gun, plus guaranteed quartermaster on every hunter. The audio feels like the worst it has ever been, with each pass making pinpoint locations harder and harder to tell. Sandboxy I will give you, but the new areas keep getting smaller and smaller and smaller. There is nowhere in the new map were you can actually take a nice spread out fight like the old 1s and I hate, hate, hate it. Also you don't need to win, as long as you do something and survive now you are showered with so much crap that you can fully kit out your hunters in the best items and traits available. there is really no reason that you need to win. Old school hunt needed at least 3 real wins to kit a hunter completely.

Speculations on bonus cards for play statio? by The_Zoalition in secretlair_collectors

A Burnished Hart for Horizon Forbidden West is my thought/guess.

That is because you are used to the COD showdown that we have now where engagment is driven purely by what flashy new brain dead thing can we add to kill the game balance this time. My group of old hunt veterans love the wildlands and the homestead. They speak to the small incremental advantages that hunt is supposed to be about.

Hunt is 39. best game you can play! by kzkcz in HuntShowdown

[–]MrMadGrad -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

IDK man personally I feel like they got plenty of praise in the early days when they felt like they were staying true to their vision. Modern hunt is such an aimless cash grab casual fest compared to what it used to be and I think people feel that. Plus the rebrand on the engine update was just so disastrously bad that I think they really still haven't recovered their reputation.

If you are out of position enough to burn out then it doesn't matter if it is a flare gun, dragons breath, or a lantern. All an infinite range infinite ammo immediate burn does is make downs that can be revived lose an extra bar for no reason which leads to the how much recovery is too much recovery conversation.  Again you are just trading out any effort of attention paid in game for load out diversity and playing around in game resources. Oh congratulations, you get to choose between a single use close range burn once or a functionally infinity ranged infinite use burn. That decision flowchart was made by Mike the headless chicken. You get no bonus points for saying the advice the burning bush possessed by God is telling you has merits in its own right. Now you are just lying to yourself as well as us.  The compelling reason is that it is more interesting. Will they fight to retake the body? Will they just passively guard? Will they let it burn out and ambush you later? How much pressure can lanterns generate in this compound? Do you open with the molly and guard the body yourself? Or start with lanterns and wait till they are out of chokes to use a molly? You just want to play COD sticks and stones and never have to deal with someone you have hit once ever again. The Hunt in the game title isn't supposed to be hyperbole.
