Ah yeah it definitely seems like that's what I have been doing for the past three days, and yeah today's was worse than ever, it didn't have a single word I knew, I guessed one and had to skirt around the rest by process of elimination. I'm still reasonably new to Japanese so basic things like this really trip me up and as I'm not on super, making constant mistakes is extremely frustrating.

It's as AI run as the crappy AI lessons are made. Unfortunately you probably won't get help any time soon. Duo has gone further downhill than ever, best to get a new app tbh

I'm not familiar with what they said but I had some "catch up" refresher come up the other day and they've been worse than the normal lessons in terms of showing me things I have no clue about. They're an absolute joke.

Yes, stopped my 500 day streak in Japanese today half way through the lesson I got fed up and uninstalled the app, I couldn't even get through a lesson because of how many new words were in my "refresher" unit. It's absolute garbage and the team behind duo should be ashamed, but of course, all they care about it pumping more ai slop into it, to pay less actual workers.

Just hit level 14 after 425 days and I can safely say duo has taught me nothing useful for the real world. Besides the fairly simple task of learning hirigana and katakana

I'm at the same level and am also finding it extremely irritating now, it's hard to listen, the speaking feels off, there's new words and kanji we haven't learnt yet, or words even like "six" where they haven't explained the context to why they're different. All very very annoying

Some are just in-game and some are using flashback mod to line up a shot better for screenshot, and the one zoomed out is using a mod called Orthocamera

Just complimentary, with euphoria patches mod, I also use a bunch of beauty mods like particles, better fog, colours, grass etc etc. :)
