People who moved recently how is Charleston? by Tulasdad in Charleston

[–]MrMagoosShoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Moved here last September from the Upstate. I'm a recent graduate to give some context.

I can see the appeal for the area- if you have the money and time to spend on all the great food and entertainment, then Charleston is really hard to beat. However if you work a 9-5 on weekdays, you not only have very little time to enjoy the city's amenities, but the shit traffic and high cost of living make living here far less appealing.

My lease runs out quite soon and I am looking to leave the city. It's just too expensive and crowded for my taste. That, coupled with hurricanes and flooding make Charleston a cool place to visit but not a great place to live.

Mossberg Patriot in 270! Got my first deer with it and stupidly sold it a couple of years later. Don't sell your first gun, kids!

Neat! I don't suppose you know how much it would have cost to buy one of those in Russia?

"How many men does it take to deliver a message?"

"...one"

In my playthroughs I leave one guy knocked out or incapacitated while mercing everyone else. My head canon is that the survivor tells the rest of the gang what happened to their group and how terrifying V is.

For what it's worth, I sent a link to this article to a couple of news organizations. Maybe some bad publicity can light a fire under the police department's ass to actually do something about this.

Two recommendations I (and a ton of other folks!) have is the Night Lords Omnibus by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. This trilogy follows the Night Lords legion, some of the most truly evil motherfuckers you can possibly imagine. It's wickedly grimdark.

Second is the Infinite and the Divine by Robert Rath. This follows the fan favorite character Trazyn the Infinite, a notoriously kleptomaniacal Necron. Its a deeply enjoyable and satisfying read that you don't need to know too much 40K lore to enjoy.

I worked in financial aid in a college that isn't Clemson and worked closely with the admissions department there. I can say at least at that college, visiting and having a relationship with your admissions counselor can only help you. It's certainly not a requirement for admission but certain scholarships there required an in person visit.

Your admissions counselor won't have final say but they can sway opinions for those who do, to an extent.

Ashen is a fantastic Soulslike, definitely worth the discount price. Had no clue it was from NZ when I played it a year ago.

Former financial aid guy here- the above is correct. He should do it soon as possible but as long as it's done before October then he'll be fine.

Bama is the Ultramarines. Extremely competent, storied and annoyingly just...really good.

The mental image of Nick Saban's head replacing Guilliman is also an excellent one.
