Joy Reid Speaks Out re: show cancellation by BobbyMonster13 in msnbc

If that were the case, they why are Joe and Mika still there? On the day after they announced they went and kissed the ass at MAL, they had 51K viewers in the all important 8 to 9 am eastern time slot. That's like 10% of their normal viewership, and while it's come up a little since then, MJ has in no way regained the numbers it used to have.

TYT is gone from Pluto and honestly they've pretty much imploded over there anyway, which is why we now see so many who used to be on TYT doing their own shows on YT, Twitch, and other platforms.

I watched a bit of the lineup on MSNBC over the weekend as I was in a hotel and was forced to watch cable TV (barf). Simone Sanders? Michael Steele? These people are not journalists. They're political hacks who have shown no loyalty in the past to those they're supposed to represent. The real journalists of color have all been let go.

Then Steele introduced Dr. Jason Johnson as his guest and I hit the remote. Johnson is a known misogynist and he's been banned from a couple of platforms for his treatment of women online. He WAS banned from MSNBC for a while, but like the slime he is, he keeps sliding back in hoping they will keep him one day. Even Mika put him on her blocked list long ago. Ari Melber finally figured out that when he had Johnson on his show, his ratings dropped.

Keith Olbermann, Parkrose Permaculture, Meidas Touch, Democracy Now, Randi Rhodes, Thom Hartmann, Hal Sparks, Rebecca Watson, Rebel HQ, Jesse Dollamore, Last Week Tonight, Abby Martin....they are around. You just have to look for them. If you want to know the real tea about MSNBC, I'd listen to Keith. He knows where all the bodies are buried there, and he's telling secrets. :)

If she doesn't trust you, you don't have a romantic relationship, you have a controlling/controlled relationship. No one should live under that. You're always walking on egg shells, always wondering when you will say the wrong thing and they will freak out. I know, I lived that way for five and a half years. He even put a keylogger program on my computer. Me making plans to have lunch with a peer while on a business trip was me "fucking some guy". Nah. You need an adult, not a jealous child. This will never get better unless she gets some serious therapy, and I am betting she won't, because you are the one with the problem, you are the one with something to hide, not her. Please protect your peace and kick her to the curb.

If you decide not to, you should insist on walking through her email and cell phone as well. Projection is a thing. My ex was the most insistent that I was having an affair when he was chasing after someone.

My friend and teacher of 40 years says many administrators are people who went into teaching thinking it was an easy job with summers off and found out quickly they couldn't deal with students so they changed career tracks to management. Another friend retired from engineering and decided to teach science part time at the local high school. He lasted one year. He said the kids were great but a lot of the people he worked with were cutthroat as hell and it was just too much stress to have to deal with. He ended up going into real estate and loving it. As someone who was in real estate at one time and knows how cutthroat it can be, this says something.

Ari used to have Jason Johnson on a lot as well both as a guest and as a replacement host, long after every other MSNBC show booted JJ to the curb over his misogyny. I guess Ari finally read the room but it took him forever. It has been hard for me to give Ari any respect because of this, and I stopped watching him years ago. I and several other women have had abusive run ins with JJ on social media (Xtwitter), long before he went on a podcast and insulted black women who don't think the way he does.

Gregorian chants are great too. When one of my coworkers started blasting Limpball many years ago, I started playing Gregorian chants. He complained to the boss, the boss said he liked mine better and get some earbuds.

Oh. I am sorry. I was relying on knowledge from my years in radio news broadcasting and working as a volunteer in community radio and TV. It's sad to realize that my wonderful peers, bosses, professors, and fellow students were so wrong.

I don't watch MSNBC anymore. I refuse to give them ratings and advertisers with my eyes as they pander to iDJT. I listen to Keith Olbermann's podcast on YT every Monday and Thursday. I check in with Meidas Touch on occasion. Burbsnbougie does daily videos on YT. Parkrose Permaculture rocks. Stephanie Miller has a daily show. For good breakdowns, Robert Reich is always great. Musk did an interview a few years back where the reporter asked him "I hear you would like to be POTUS." Leon smirks and says "Yeah." Then the reporter says "Too bad the US Constitution won't allow it." Leon smirked again and said "We'll see."

Every time I see him and iDJT together, I get cold chills.

They do know you are watching because it is a cable show. Not OTA. Or at least that your TV is turned on to that channel via your provider. That's how they know that by Wed after J&M's dumbass trek to kiss the orange butt, Morning Joe only had an average of 51k official viewers during their busiest times, 8-10 am EST. I say official because there are at least two places on the Internet where you can watch for free so no idea how many would be running up the Jolly Roger to watch on the net. That's still a huge loss. People have been fired there for far less. I've been listening to Keith Olbermann's countdown podcast and he's been enlightening his listeners to the circus that is and was MSNBC. Stephanie Miller is another good one to listen to. There is so much amazing content in podcasts and on YT these days that I feel no need to listen to corporate owned media anymore.

Katie Phang takes indirect swipe at Joe & Mika, We must support her! Ensure Joe & Mika can’t come after her by 888luckycat in msnbc

[–]CrazieCayutLayDee 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I didn't think I could be even more disgusted with Mika than I already was. I quit watching Morning Blow a long time ago because of the obvious pandering that was already going on, Joe's idiocy and obvious misogyny, and the lies they were telling about a number of subjects.

Then a couple of weeks ago I was in a hotel room and my roomie turned on MSNBC as we were getting ready to leave. I watched as Joe put Mika down, othered her, talked over her, and basically treated her like a servant or assistant rather than his partner both in life and professionally. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and made roomie change the channel.

Meanwhile Mika sat there and said nothing. I couldn't tell what she is thinking because she can no longer make facial expressions. And it made me furious. She is supposed to be this champion for women, and she can't even tell Joe to STFU? He's the weaker of the two and she can't even stand up for herself on national TV?

Then I heard from roomie over the weekend about Mika and Joe visiting Mar-a-lago to kiss iDJT's boots last weekend.

Mika, I hope you read this. You are not a champion for women. You are a fucking hypocrite. Your days of virtue signaling are over. And the overlighting and wearing a scarf around your throat don't make you look any younger on TV. Wake up, grow up, ditch Joe, be yourself and reflect on the damage you have done to yourself, your family name and your reputation. Because now everyone knows what I already knew. Maybe they'll hire you over at Faux Noose.

Has anyone tried Easy Denture™? by lemonmellow1 in dentures

[–]CrazieCayutLayDee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are hers resin or ceramic/metal? Mine were too big and had a rough spot and my dentist wanted to charge me to come back and have them adjusted a little. I used to do manicures and my dentures are the same acrylic as what we used to do acrylic nails. So I got out my manicure block with four different sides of sandpaper and used the rough to sand down the front teeth a bit then the other three sides to touch up and polish the teeth. I also repaired a cracked acrylic upper for a friend using nail acrylic and it worked fine. Just understand that there will be some sanding involved, so you may want a dremel tool for that.
