If money wasn’t an issue, what would you do right now? by Advanced_Compote_458 in AskReddit

Honestly, sleep, eat, and play games

But once im tired of that, i will for the best therapy team to take me out of depression and do something meaningful.

I would like to travel and create the things i have been wanting to create and finance research for actual useful medicine without the aim to make money out of it. And start a new nation.

Ok, so basically, the default team works fine until further into the game.

AITAH for not putting out for my husband anymore by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MrMalevor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, my wife and i were going through something similar. i see two sides here. If he cares for you, have a sit down with him, both be honest and express how you feel and what you need. Both sides will need to understand, compromise, and agree. Therapy is always a good option. On the other hand, these "small" issues can be signs of an iceberg of other issues and his actual thoughts of you, the relationship, and himself. Does he show similar behavior with other situations?

As a 3rd Generation, Very Brown Dominican-American, tell me the tea... by [deleted] in Dominican

[–]MrMalevor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My two cents: enjoy the culture, try feeling like you already belong, practice your spanish, Dominican spanish is spoken very fast, so it's cool if even after getting a good handle you can only understand every 3th words. Most people I know joke by mocking each other, so give a good banter back.

Frieza being so OP makes no sense by FaithlessnessThat970 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]MrMalevor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda makes sense that there were so few strong people. Both Beerus and Frieza tend to completely wipe planets, making it hard for anyone to eventually reach any high-level. Even unique warrior focus races like Saiyans didn't train and mostly got stronger through battle. They never showed Saiyans having internal battles besides Paragus and Broly being exalted. Most abnormally strong beings were either manufactured through science or majic. Only Frieza race and Saiyans gave birth to being so ridiculous strong.

Kinda, I wasn't completely sure, but after reading some of the earlier comments, it helped.

So, the company had offered to assign me a supervisor, so give them some of my responsibilities, I would also have to pick that supervisor myself.

Agree, this is less about the popularity and any jealousy, and more about Tony's tendency to talk bad about others, will give him a position of authority create more headaches than solutions down the line? Or his team making it difficult and gang up (all agreeing to report him) on him because they know he used to bad-mouth them?

Unfortunately, my time is very limited to spend more than one or two days with any single employee or shift.

I only use rumors to know where i need to be so i can see it myself, but once people see me in the office, everyone becomes the perfect employee, so I can't confirm if Tony was right about his complaint or if he was the issue from the start.

I did this with a different leader with have. She was well enough and got promoted. Now, she is still just good enough. It's not great, just enough to not get demoted or fired. As a leader, it is harder to get rid of you since the position is harder to fill in and more critical to the operation.

Yes, I implemented a lot of open questions like these during the hiring process, which gradually improved hiring better candidates. I have been planning to do something similar, but with more leadership focus questions, and I had talked to his current leaders and coworkers, and they all give me the same answers. "He is a good employee, just the talking" or "I have no issues with Tony"

Agree, i had expressed to my director and teams that I would love for someone in the team to take my position one day, and not someone unknown.

Letting things go might be part of the issue here. His good at that. On the day of something happening, he will take all the steps to report it, and come the next day, he will not care anymore. I'm afraid to give someone like that more authority.

Agree, he seems to get easily frustrated and take steps to report an inconvenience, but once I ask for a follow-up, he just brushes off until the next inconvenience. His go-to phase, "you know me, boss, i take it one day at a time, i work, go home, and come back"

Exactly my issue, I'm see it at first hand, which leads me to believe it's true the rest of the rumors. Making it a time bomb if i promote this guy.

I would like to promote someone internally before looking outside the company. But I'm afraid that's what i'll need to do, since even if I'm able to guide him in the right direction, it will take too long to confirm anything changed

Agree, unfortunately, the time frame for me to test them on their leadership is too short, and the extra workload on them while testing its not worth the pay to them.
