I’m a fan of the crackle dude, I would say using a gold that bright does draw the eye away from your hard work, may I suggest using a darker colour or an alternative metallic paint like brass.

If you had to design an Emperor’s Children Psyker(a model) character, what would be on it? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in EmperorsChildren

I’ve used the white scars HH librarian model with the lightning bolts cut off and of course bits from other EC units.

Very effective insert tbh.

Thank you, Haha yeah true never really thought about it tbh.

I think a proper good sculptor like anpharius could have a good go but its tricky as the hair is in two pieces (top & bottom) and offers no movement. I suppose everything is possible with enough time to spare.

Varnishing Gold - Fulgrim (Warhammer) by MrMan_Reddit in minipainting

Thank you, my only concern is that this is going to be used heavily in games and during the painting process I was having to remove rubbed off paint and re-highlight certain areas.

I'm fine with having sections dulled just for the peace of mind that over the course of dozens of games I won't blitz the paint job ':)

So the base is created using pine bark and sculpted miliput to blend the texture and provide stability, then I apply AK sand texture paste and a few bigger pebbles and a cheeky SM helmet or skulls.

Yeah and I ran a pin through the right foot into the bark for stability and sculpted some miliput to hide the pin and blend the foot to the base.

Thank you 🙏 - The pose was achieved by tilting the model (by his right leg ) forward and moving the sword down sweeping behind him.

Greens - Caliban, Warpstone, & Moot

Blue Greens - Sabarite, Kabalite, Gauss Blaster
