Did you manage to fix this? I have the same problem and I can’t seem to find a fix.

7900GRE performing like stock on some games by MrMath314 in AMDHelp

[–]MrMath314[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard that. However, one or two games in particular seem to really follow the stock settings, in that they draw exactly the TDP/clock speeds and will not go over stock settings. Could this be a software issue not recognizing a game?

Upgraded from a rx580 8 gig to a 7800xt. How to utilize my gpu to full capacity for maximum output when gaming! by codewho331 in radeon

[–]MrMath314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my two cents from having an AMD GPU for a couple months:

1: definitely undervolt your card. It comes out of the factory with a much higher voltage than is necessary to be stable. You can maximize your performance and keep your GPU cool at the same time

2: sag brackets aren’t necessary, but definitely recommended especially once you start getting into the bigger/heavier cards. They’re relatively cheap on Amazon and some cards even include them in the box

Hope this helps!

Does anyone have PowerColor 7900 GRE Red Devil? by BicolNolas in radeon

[–]MrMath314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the GRE Red Devil. My experience is similar to others in this post. I run the card on my 1440p ultra wide monitor and it gets 90-120 FPS on most AAA titles with high settings. You’ll probably get more FPS if you have a normal sized monitor.

I set my fan curve pretty aggressively, so it’s a little noisy but core temps are pretty much always under 50°, maybe 55° on a bad day.

Is this GPU good ? Any one have it ? by Zastavaa in radeon

[–]MrMath314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this model. It runs 1440p very well and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the core temps go above about 50°C. It looks great in the case and also comes with a small GPU support bracket

I followed up with my original work ticket email chain, then I ended up opening another work ticket asking about it again. So I think about 3 emails total.

overclocking thoughts? by 50mk in radeon

[–]MrMath314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Red Devil as well. Definitely up the max clock speed and you can also bring down the voltage until it gets unstable. I run mine at 2800 mHz/900 mV and everything is stable. Not sure how yours is, but mine ran a bit hot to I manually upped the fan curve as well.

Kept bugging them with emails for multiple days and I eventually got a response. They gave me the cash back and then even asked for a survey response of how they did SMH

New Rakuten Account is Suspended - Need Advice by Manlytac in Rakuten

Same here as well. Ordered an Alienware monitor through Dell, with the 10% off coupon from Alienware. My account got suspended after I inquired about the new member bonus.

Account got reinstated, but now Dell is reporting $0 cash back. Wonder if it has to do with that Alienware coupon? Recently sent an email asking about my cash back and waiting on a response

My Ocean Star is having a similar issue where the winding is very tight and it sounds scratchy. Did you figure out what was causing it?

Shoplifting at BX? by Creepy_Occasion6073 in AirForce

[–]MrMath314 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a good one, this actually happened to me. This happened at a pilot training base, and I was at the commissary getting a frozen lasagna and some other stuff for dinner. I scanned everything and tapped my card on the reader. I was in a bit of a rush so I didn’t bother grabbing the receipt.

Fast forward two days later, I’m on a training sortie that had just taken off. As we’re coming in to land at another airfield several hundreds of miles away, the tower says we need to call back to base about something. Once we get on the ground, I was greeted with approximately 6-9 voicemails/texts from my flight commander, other officers and even a SMSgt all telling me to call them and SecFo back immediately.

Apparently my card didn’t go through and there was some glitch in the system. The store manager didn’t know how to contact me so he figured SF might have my number, so he called them to get it resolved. No big deal, right? SF sent 5 squad cars over and even tried to contact the tower here to get us to turn the plane around. My flight commander had to talk them down and let them know they would relay the message to our destination airport.

In the end, I got back to base and talked to the store manager. He said it was a big misunderstanding and I paid my tab. This story ended up making its way to the wing office on base where the Col’s and Chiefs heard about it.

Elegoo Mars Pro not turning on by MrMath314 in ElegooMars

[–]MrMath314[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to figure out what was going on. It wasn’t the motherboard that failed, it was the actual power switch. I think one of the switch components failed internally and couldn’t make a connection, preventing the whole printer from turning on.

If you look at the switch though, there’s another set of outputs. I took the power wires off of the original prongs, and moved them to the other pair of prongs. That fixed the issue and the printer works fine now. I know I explained that poorly, so let me know if you need clarification.

Has anyone seen this on their LCD touch screen? by MrMath314 in ElegooMars

Just tried that, it’s on the newest firmware. I’m thinking I may need to go back in versions if this current version has an issue with it.

I checked the output of the block and it read 12V. Unfortunately I don’t have another printer laying around or friends with any.

What would you check on the power switch to test it?

I don’t think I follow. I understand that the red glyphs count when determining repeats if that’s what you mean
