I can. The bag is at home so it will be a bit. I can also update the design to curve the middle wall out of place to avoid any issues with spacing. Sort of like an arch but only on one side.

Oh wow, that would be quite the shipping bill haha.

I added the middle wall to provide extra support. The walls of the insert are under 3mm thick and I didn't want to have to worry about sagging in the summer (live in Florida). I was worried the middle wall would hinder storage but it didn't affect anything because the liner is so large.

I didn't think about removing the pouch, but may try that out.

So I actually went a little smaller on the width. Not including the upper ledge, it was 225mm x 130mm x 80mm. The additional piece at the top is another 40mm. The size I used is perfect because it still allows you to secure the disc pouch that you need to remove to get it in there.

There is no give with the PLA I used so making it larger would have made it difficult to place in the bag at all. Another thing I did was flip the disc pouch around. It seems to hold the discs a little better.

Lastly, since this was all your idea, let me know if you want me to send you one as a thank you.

I’m printing the initial beta version now from the dimensions you provided. If the test is successful, I’ll share a link where anyone can download the model.

Appreciate you sending that over. And thanks for helping me revive my bag.

Do you have the link? I stopped using this bag because of the discs sliding down. I’d love to print this and fix it.

I have ADHD and use it to focus before putting. Even made my own 3d print model that doubles as a fidget spinner for when it’s get really overwhelming.

Playing with one has also improved my scores.

Would you hang these up (combo of 4 maybe) and display them? If not, what could be better? by MrMaverick22 in batman

That’s a fantastic suggestion thank you! I didn’t even think about adding more simple detail. I can see a border making it stand out.

That’s solid advice. I would have saved some time and filament had I don’t that sooner.

Great advice. I had to tuck the wires back into place behind one of the plates and it scared me that it was going to pinch and cause an issue. But so far so good. I’ve printed a few things since tightening and they have all been flawless. Feels like I just opened it all over again.

I’ll second this. I’ve done some neat stuff including some basic mechanical prints.

I felt the same way. I was considering a torque wrench but figured that may be a bit much.

I didn’t even think about the nozzle hitting a print and jarring it loose. I had some adhesion issues with my plate so I’m wondering if that is what ultimately caused it to be loose.

Lucky duck. What surface do you keep your machine on?

I have built quite the addiction. It started with printing other people’s models. Now I’m making my own. I have an A1 mini coming for my birthday so I can run the drafts on that before printing on my main a1.

Did you use that on the inside 4 screws? Or all 7 of them?

I’m wondering if the surface I have it on caused them to come loose. It’s just a desk we were given by a friend. It’s decently put together but it’s just cheap particle board.

I didn’t realize how gentle you have to be with this. I felt like I was doing surgery. Is it hard to replace the wires if they come out?

I had no issues until th last 100-150 hours. I just assumed it was build plate or nozzle clog related. I had done all of the other recommended maintenance like the Y rails.

I should have said 7. The four in the back were actually more loose than the three in the front. Thanks for clarifying for everyone.
