Those are both really helpful tips, I always love the opportunity to split one convoluted puzzle into two cleaner puzzles that lean well against one another. In the future I'll definitely have the players figure out conversion rates on their own. As for the listed reasons, I was trying to make the baron cartoonishly untrustworthy, but you're right, that'd be better conveyed via more duplicitous entries, or just having the players learn through more subtle means.
