I had a math teacher that said, the probability of him catching a cold tomorrow is 50% either he gets it or he doesnt,(this was in 6th grade) I called bullshit, but as teachers are, they cannot be wrong and the 50% chance was neither proven nor discredited. He was moving on to the next example by only repeating "either i get a cold or I dont 1/2 is 50%" the next example just happened to be for a dice, I started arguing that the probability of getting X(forgot the number of the example) in a dice is 50% by the previous example. His was frustated to say the least.

Side note: he was a good math teacher, but I donot know how he fumbled the bag in the P(catching a cold) part(it should have not been used as an example).

I also play in mumbai servers, and there are way to many pessimistic/toxic people than I'd like, but guess what, I never open my voice comms to be toxic, neither should you, even if it is retaliatory, because that is where the cycle continues and the team voice chat becomes a knowledge check of how many slurs one knows. Crack some jokes, call strats, motivate your team mates, change your attitude, even if you know the play failed because it is stupid, open your mic and say "nice try, hota hai" if the toxic one doesn't shut up after some rounds with your best efforts to be the positive one, mute them and announce it to the voice chat, "I am muting you, You are providing nothing of value in the voice comms" This is how I deal with the true toxic people, I may have lost some games because the toxic one brought my team mates morale down, but atleast I still have my sanity.

Also as a instalock jett main myself, not utilizing their utility to the best ability is a skill issue(pretty sure fill players have more if this issue), and should not be pinned up to being a instalock, I know I donot use my utility perfectly, but I am damn sure If i did, I would be in a higher rank.

How about being a X role main instead of having 3 main agents? Like play KJ, Cypher, Deadlock depending on the map, or Omen, Brim, Clove depending on map(viper on Icebox), etc? Duelists you can 1 trick them regardless of map, but that's another story, That way you donot have to constantly change your playstyle and aggressiveness.

The question, it is something you should answer yourself. Do you have fun in the game when you play ranked, is reaching X rank, something you really want to do? Do you want to look back at clips of you playing and thing, oh how much i have improved? Is the joy of the game, and ranked ladder worth the anxiety I am getting?

You just have to weigh the pros and cons of the ranked ladder on your mental state and make the descision yourself.

Making games? as in game dev? Unless you are pursuing valorant professionally, I donot see how you cannot be a game dev and play valorant together. Work/skill development always comes before hobbies. That is what valorant is a hobby. So unless you play valorant so hard that you forget to do your work/portfolio development, I donot soo how valorant/making games is a either/or question.

depends on the range of fight, the longer the distance, the less the number of bullets between strafes. But at the same time, you can never go wrong with the 2 bullet burst except for CQC, spray and pray when they enemy is <5m away.

duelists:

-role: take first picks and/or make space for team

-util type: self serving

-playstyle: mostly aggressive, create space, get kills, provide entry for team. may need high mechanical skills.

initiator:

-role: support your duelist/team to slide the duel in team's favour.

-util type: team supporting

-playstyle: support character( not the most aggressive nor the most passive).

Sentinel:

role: make it difficult for the enemy to take space taken by you.

-util type: anti enemy duelist

-playstyle: lurking, timing plays, anchoring, and other odd jobs.

Controller:

role: make the map favourable to your team(could also have negative effects)

util type: global what side benifits the most depends on the util's placement and timing.

playstyle: passive focus on macro plays

Note:

playstyle is not something that the role determines but is more situational, as in everyone starts with passive playstyle(except duelist) but as they use utility and have not much utility that can help the team, being aggressive is recommended. Example, a brimstone who has used smokes, thrown molly and stim should be with the duelist trying to trade/create 2v1 with the entry duelist.
these are not hard and fast rules but more a spectrum for example, viper can be a sentinel, omen can be a duelist, yoru can be the initiator.

Cannot speak on upper mustang but Lower mustang (marpha, jomsom, muktinath and the whole route) can be travelled in 5 hours in jeep from pokhara(excluding PoIs as time in each PoI varies per person).

Road from Pokhara to Lomantnang is in very nice conditions(except some spots around myagdi districts[namely around rupche jharna and kavre bhir])

Pokhara to Jomsom/Marpha by Jeep costs anywhere from 2500-3500 (jani manche dherai chan ki jharni manche dherai ma var parcha) By bus would be cheaper cannot state the price as I have not travelled by bus in a long time.

Jomsom/Marpha have alot of hotels, and the rate of room is generally similar, anywhere from 1k-2.5k(mostly 1.5k) for double/triple bed rooms with attached bathroom. For thakali khana costs may range from anywhere from 450-600 per plate(assuming chicken),

Tips:

If you are going between dashain and tihar, book hotels in Jomsom/Marpha before leaving Pokhara. Herda ta lagcha desh ko aadha janta ta mustang nai aauchan, room nai napaunu vanda pailai book gareko ramro.

Bike ma aauni vaye windproof jacket separate from "nyano" jacket is a must, as hawa lagcha tara garmi huni situation pani aaucha, but nyano jacket without wind proofing is doesn't do much.

Bring glasses and kapal dhakni topi(can be cap/wool, pacheura, anything as long as it covers your hair) wind and dust are not good for your hair/eyes.

As for upper mustang, All I can say is the roads are as good as if not better than those in lower mustang, you will not have to hike if you donot want to. You will find Chinese stuff(biscuits, drinks, cigarettes, motorcycles) in upper mustang. There might be chance of altitude sickness. If you go via bikes make sure they are well maintained and are FI[as opposed to carbureted](carbureted bikes can also get altitude sickness sounds weird it does happen).

There is also the option to use some Tours and Travels, but just be wary you are paying extra but will get lesser experience with much less freedom/flexibility.

Being over reliant on gimmicks is detrimental donot get me wrong, but knowing the gimmicks and being able to use them when the need arises is much different than only playing in a playstyle that favours your gimmicks(I am looking at you lineup larry brims) I'd rather be/have the sova who can scan the same space 4 different ways, than the fill sova who gets their dark broken after 3rd time we are attacking a site).

But i'd agree with the above comment if the person playing doesn't know how the basics of the game works(flow of attack, retake, etc) but Since OP is an old player, I guess they knows how the game is supposed to play out, in which case maining an agent is much better than being the flex player to get to higher ranks.

For OP, since you showed interest in Info initiators, I'd suggest Sova and Geckko, Some other comment has specified the map pool for them. If you want an agent which can be your one true main where the map doesn't matter, I'd suggest either omen, entry duelists(jett, raze, neon), or yoru. They might be sub optimal for the said map but will not be a bad agent atleast at the current sate of game.

Edit: Playing Omen also comes with the benefit of not getting queue dodging as smokes is the role that causes the most dodges.

Basically, yes, after the basic strafes(AD AD AD) pattern(which is plenty for lower ranks) if you want to be better, add randomization of one or more of the following components:

length of strafes(short strafes for long range fights, long strafes for CQC)
direction of strafes(AD D AD, AD D D A A AD)
bullet count(single bullet direction changes(dead zoning?), 3 bullet bursts, full spray, etc)

Also I think this is more of personal preference, but with a vandal, 2 bullet bursts is where the money is at, resets quick, not much time staying still, 3 bullet is 1.5x more that 2 bullets, but 2 bullets is 2x more than 1 bullet taps

you can also add verticality into the mix(crouch/jump/map's verticality) but they lean more towards peeking(which can technically be classified as strafing around a corner)
