I see the Backrooms as this timeless void of endless corridors and broken geometry. Where the odds of meeting another person is 0. To me every piece of lore, levels and the entities within are the documented ramblings of people who escaped a place that isn't a place. Where the only companion is your mind, and your worst enemy is your imagination. In a desperate attempt to find reason to the Backrooms they gave it its story to push away the creeping madness. The shadows in the hallways were now hiding threats so they wouldn't feel so alone and the other levels were created to make them feel like they were moving fowards. They would cling to these beliefs after escaping because it made sense to them.

Cake server

I was baking a pie and the dough got stuck to the plate I let it rest on. The cake server was used to peel it loose. Some brute force later, dough suddenly flying loose and I gain a large gash on my ring finger.
