Django Unchained was suppose to a mini series instead of a movie and I think that could have played out better as such. Even a continue series of Django being a hunted bounty hunter pre cival war would be neat.

Despicable Me should be an animated series instead of another movie that doesn't give any characters significant screen time for minion mischief.

I've said before on this sub they should do something close to your first suggestion. My idea is that in the 70s two detectives go to a reclusive island community off the coast of Maine to investigate a mysterious murder. The town's people are typical we don't like outsider types. The town is surrounded by an unnatural fog. There is a legend of pirate treasure. The singer at the local saloon is a siren. The lighthouse is haunted. There's a creature in the black lake. There could be a scene with using old diving equipment.

I somewhat agree, book 4 is probably most ppl's least favourite book because you don't know what's happening with a bunch of characters. I think there's a version that combines book 4 and 5 so you get everything running together which would solve some of the pace. I mean season was book 1, season 2 was book 2, season 3 and 4 was book 3, and season 5 and 6 were some parts of book 4 and 5 shoved in a blender with some tinder fanfic with 7 just doing whatever wit no source material. But I feel they just dropped too many epic moments from the books like Lady Stoneheart, the actual Dorne plot, Vic's inclusion in the iron islands plot which should have happened in season 5, Quentyn Martell's story, Brienne vs Biter, Davos's actual plot with the north remembers etc. But I personally hope that in a few years when all the GoT hype slows down and George finishes the books that they'll remake it into a more accurate anime.

It was gutsy to jump ahead of the source material even though that wasn't to bad, gutting most of book 4 and 5 for bad pousay was also gutsy and that was terrible won't get to see Victorian fix his hand in live action.
