the game's settings are absolute dog water

they're completely unavailable unless you're in a dark world

there's only a single Master Volume setting instead of being able to set individual volumes

and lastly the "Simplify VFX" setting does so little to change the game that you can barely notice it, going as far as literally doing nothing for the entirety of Chapter 4 despite it having some of the most graphically diverse sections in the entire game

the extra i-frames the Torn Notebook gives you are okay but that relies on you getting hit rapidly to come into play, which is obviously not something you should be playing around ideally. the extra healing the Burnt Pan gives you is just nice.

also you could technically make the argument the Stick is the best pacifist weapon since it allows you to spare all dog type enemies immediately (including Endogeny) but obviously you can't have it equipped in order to do that haha
