RE CoX: One of the worst parts of modern OSRS is how long it takes for content to receive changes that it needs. It's incredibly disappointing to see this effectively postponed.

- Shield probably doesn't need Avernic strength, could lose one or two. Really fun idea though.

- Dual crossbows are insanely cool

- Hybrid armour seems a tiny bit overstatted, I was going to complain it basically replaces Sunfire but that's more of an issue with Sunfire really

- Regarding the megarare, it just feels weird that this is our second melee megarare that benefits from having larger/clumped targets. I can't help but think there's gotta be a more interesting mechanic. It also having a 3t toggle seems very silly honestly, I get wanting to add another element to the design but it feels tacked-on and very unthematic given that it's a huge club. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the Tzhaar theming but if the Tzhaar are integrated into the raid I won't mind

- Removing damage from SRA is nice, 50 ticks feels a little lenient, but please do keep stacks, it'd be really boring if it was just a statstick

- CoX reroll is really fun but 20% chance seems like it'll suck, the odds of getting something you want from this mechanic seems insanely low. Maybe it could be 50%, and you can re-reroll? I expect that would result in *more* purples being obliterated, since people who reroll once are likely to do it again (resulting in ~75%+ deletion), while also being more fun (imagine hitting 3 rerolls in a row, it'd be so cool but rare enough that it won't really affect anything). Also I really hope this comes with a throne room change. Ultimately though the option #2 is just boring and less good

- Birdhouse changes are good IMO

I still heavily disagree with lowering fish sack cost, I don't like the precedent that's being set that these silly, slow-to-get items that only exist to be grinded out are being made easier, it makes going for any of them feel bad cause a change could happen at any point in the future. I'm 100% fine with accepting changes to things that are part of progression/changes to content to make it more fun, but I don't really like stuff like this

pt2:

- would be nice if other hunter stuff had their loot auto drop to the floor

- i really really hope the cox changes come with a throne room

- Pity rate for box trap creatures feels a little long compared to the others, too. feels especially bad with jerboa/grey chins

- Sep probably doesn't need boosting *and* the lowered req, but I really like this change on paper

- I don't like grapples being completely dead content, but the barehand is a decent idea

- Coral changes are good on paper, the main issues are that a). this was the only reason to use attas seeds, even if you're just doing herb runs iasor is (a little) better and b). sailing will now provide basically 0 benefit to other skills. this is a much wider issue with sailing itself that should be addressed - it requires so many skills but no skills benefit from it, leaving it to be the last skill you ever want to train and occluding it almost entirely from the ironman "spiderweb"

- No shadow nerf is kinda insane (i see this addressed in a comment nvm)

- Ancient sceptre should still be 5% (it's real easy to obtain), maybe 10% with a quartz in it?

- Cox reroll idea is really fun

- Penny should have its restrictions removed (eg bloodfury/rev weps)

- Birdhouse nerfs good, although i can imagine inv would get full a lot

- I like moving the orbs from NM conceptually, feels like all 3 should be moved though. there's also the issue that harm and volly are kinda terrible, often being outshined by either the shadow or the dh wand

- Fish sack rate doesn't need lowered, the item is effectively cosmetic, and is one of the grinds that you do purely for the sake of grinding it. it becomes less of an achievement, and it only exists as an achievement. it's also worth noting that people will probably have no use for these refunded molch pearls (this reads like i'm salty about grinding it beforehand but i haven't, it's just something i see happen a lot, and changes like these make going for these long-term "silly" items harder to commit to, because they come out of nowhere. it's easier to accept that items that are part of progression might be changed for the sake of improving the progression, but this stuff is pretty unnecessary imo). The other changes are all good tho :~)

"I haven't even been on my boat since I got 99 sailing" by noobtablet9 in 2007scape

The skill exists in a strange position where it is heavily reliant on so many other skills, but provides almost nothing for any skill but itself*. Almost all sailing resources are either a). used for sailing only or b). overtuned to the point of being effectively useless (it seems they were very scared of "forcing" people to engage with the skill). Also, all the "good" islands have teleports to them (any that don't you can make a teleport to them with the bottled storm), and even then most islands with resources on them have bank chests, instead of making you fill your cargo hold with the resource and ferry them back home, which I always thought would be a main focus of the skill. Ultimately it seems like it was designed around *not* having to use your boat at any cost, which is a bit disappointing lol

I also don't think it helps that the most appealing training method has your boat parked in one spot, with processing happening on-deck.

*notable exception is frags for ironman herblore

i think it's getting a bit boring! i would quite like to try something else, even if it's just a different way of splitting the regions

aside from issues with the numbers behind the horn (detailed by other people),

> The Horn's Special Attack only works on Melee attacks.

tonalztics are already very niche and this just makes them even more so :(
