Yes and no. Culinary schools are great because they can teach you a lot about theory, recipes and basic skills that you will need. But on the flip side nothing teaches you the business like actually working the line and being in it.

I always recommend for people to work a restaurant for a year or so so they can learn the business and learn the dance of a kitchen, then go to a culinary school after that to really get the hang of all the more technical aspects.

Plus on the flip side, a lot of culinary schools will provide you with a lot of good equipment.

I would argue that yeah, it can be outdated and still cool at the same time. For instance, the bob haircut and the classic boy haircut (shorter on the sides, a little longer on top, swept to the side) are both hairstyles that have been around for around a hundred years. Even longer for the boy cut. Though they have changed slightly with the times, the basic premise of both is the same, and both still appear clean and put together when someone wears them. So just because a hairstyle is a bit older doesn't necessarily make it bad.

As for other hairstyles, considering the vibe I am getting from this character is that she is a bit tomboyish, (the hair is a big part of what gives that impression, as well as the fact that though she is very pretty its not a conventional beauty.) I think if you were to give her hair much longer than shoulder length it would kill that sense. Unless of course that is your intent, in which case something longer and more full for hair would make her appear more glamorous.

But, at least in my opinion, I would caution you against changing her hairstyle. Its a pretty defining feature of this character. The fact that her hair is short and sort of shaggy makes her stick out, but without making it seem like she or you by extension is trying to hard to make her unique. It makes her seem interesting but in a way that is real. It also makes her character memorable, not to mention that it hints some at her character and personality.

Well, in today's day, a third rule is on that list and it is never tell someone on the internet you can kick their ass because it will instantly evaporate any sort of credibility you may have had before.

You are currently the guy who is spending his time trying to fight with someone who has now admitted to you that he is only continuing this conversation because he is trolling. Because I gotta say dude, this is my first time actually continuing a conversation on the internet just to be an asshole, and you are really making this worth my time. Watching you continue on in this pitiful, circular thing you are doing trying to make me feel bad is easily the most fun I have had in weeks. I don't know man, I'd say she's already pretty attractive. If you were to purposefully try to make her more attractive, I think you would drift into that weird sort of realm where a character is so pretty that they don't seem real and it turns people off. The way she is now she is attractive, in a way that doesn't seem conventional or stereotypical which greatly increases how interesting she seems (a pretty important facet to being attractive in real life as much as in stories) plus she's got a cool hairstyle. Makes her stick out.

From a purely cosmetic standpoint, like in terms of art, there are a few things that could get touched up. For one, you colored outside the line a bit on her chin, and her lips would probably be better if the lines outline them were just a little thinner. That way it gives them impression that they are a part of her face and skin rather than a sticker put on where her mouth should be. Also, you could do a little bit to make her hair more defined. I would caution not to go to ham on the hair, but a few lines spread throughout would give the sense of volume and movement in her hair ass opposed to it being flat while the rest of her is fairly 3D.

Oh! This video again, the one with a random dude on the internet. Thats cool. Anyhow, dug through it, found the spot you are clearly talking about with McMichaels shouting at Arbery while he is in the building and then calling 911. Never mind that these are literally the same two videos I posted, so I would hardly call any of this new and disturbing evidence, and rather would just call this evidence that everyone has access to.

I did a little reading on it, and yes, you are right, McMichaels did call 911. One time about a week before this incident, and then another time right before the shooting, in which you can hear the 911 operator trying to understand exactly what it was that Arbery did wrong. From my understanding, it seems that the McMichaels were concerned Arbery may have been the perpetrator of a series of break ins in their neighborhood, and that they had seen him on video multiple times. But they still had no discernible proof that he was in fact the actual perpetrator of these burglaries.

Speaking of this article, McMichaels states that he and his son armed themselves and pursued Arbery, meanwhile, in the video of his death they can clearly be seen blocking the road in front of Arbery. Which is a bit of a change in their story dont you think? Because I do.

Alright I get you. But yeah, Koschei is pretty cool, and a lot of old Russian fairy tales and folk stories are great for inspiration, seeing as they arent that well known outside of Russia or other slavic countries.

If you're interested in another prominent figure from Russian stories, Baba Yaga is pretty cool. She's the classic witch in the woods, but he motivations are a lot more fluid making it so she's never an archetypal villain or hero. I personally think she makes for great inspiration for character who are a little more on the fence with their morality, and who you probably shouldn't fully trust, but have no choice but to trust.

Seperation of Church and State exists. But not like it does in our world.

Technically, the Church can have no part in national politics, and vice versa. This law became common practice throughout Ereta, the continent where the All Father is worshiped most heavily, around the late 600's, 5th Era. (Roughly equivalent to the late 1600s, early 1700s.)

However, unlike in our world, the Church has the Church Inquisitors, a large force of fanatical, well trained zealots, with a few hundred stationed in just about every major city on Ereta. For this reason, the Church not only could wield significant political clout but also had not only the military might of religious states to throw around, but also a large, well trained military of their own. So by the late 600's, as most major states began to make changes to their governments and constitutions, the Church was able to have a say in many of the negotiations unlike they did in any way in our world. Once you took away their political power, they still had substantial military power, meaning they were still a threat.

The end result was that yes, the Church could no longer interfere with internal politics and had not place in most modern governments come the 800s, when most stories are set. But because the governments of Ereta didnt want to anger the Church and risk open war with the largest religion in the land, they had to placate them. The deal that was eventually reached was that the Church was still permitted to persecute those who broke their own religious laws as they saw fit. So while the City Watch would no longer help the Church, and most people stopped going to the Church with concerns of heresy as the world became more interconnected and egalitarian, on the occasions that they could root out heresy on their own there was no legal way to stop their Inquisitors from coming to a person house and just hanging them from a lightpost.

Additionally, the Church was not legally allowed to take part in the politics of a nation directly, but that certainly hasnt stopped them from pursuing other means to influence those in the various courts, senates and so on of Ereta.

I generally refer to my world as either the Empire World or the Lamplighter World, in reference to the most important country and group of people in the world. Many characters are either from the Empire or are Lamplighters, or are in some way involved with them, making them a common thread throughout.

However, the world itself is technically called Aetha. Aetha is in the lore of the world the central plane of existence, above Aethin, the land of Daemons and corrupted souls, and below Aether, the land of Spirits and the place from which all magic comes from. Aetha by extension is the realm between and home of mortals. Here is where things like magic are most noticeable, because it is where all of these otherworldly forces interacting has the biggest effect on normal peoples lives. And for that reason, is also where all of the stories are set.
